I have really oily skin. Any solutions? Makeup advice?

I'm 28 and my face is always so oily. It has always been this way (except when I was pregnant) and I'm really getting tired of it. (Thankfully, I only break out before my period. Otherwise, I'll get a few little whiteheads but nothing major. I'm not a kid anymore, I shouldn't even have to worry about acne!) Anyway, I put my makeup (liquid foundation %26amp; powder) on in the morning and by the time I get to work, I need to blot my face and reapply more powder. It seems like every hour or so, I'm wiping oil off of my face with a tissue and putting on more powder. By the end of the day, I feel like I have so much make up on that I can't wait to wash my face before bed. What gives? Is there anything I can buy in the store that will keep my oil at bay? Are there any good foundations out there that won't add to the problem? Any help is greatly appreciated!I have really oily skin. Any solutions? Makeup advice?
I have this same problem (very oily skin and only break out before my period)!!! I started washing my face when i woke up and when i go to sleep (i used to only do it before bed) and i stopped using liquid foundation and started using mineral makeup...i know you wouldn't think mineral makeup would control oil, and it is by no means a miracle worker but i have seen a VAST improvement in the amount of oil my face produces. Also, mary kay sells an oil mattifier (i think it's like $15) that you put on before you make up and it helps a lot...but whatever you do STOP USING LIQUID FOUNDATION!!! this will do nothing but make it worse. hope i helped!I have really oily skin. Washing your face a lot will actually cause your face to overproduce oil because it will need to overcompensate for the oil that is stripped away during the washing. I suggest buying products that help control shine. I know Biore has some products, like moisturizers that help control oil and shine. Oil blotters are a must, but you already know that as you said you use them. You could also try a mattifyer, which will keep the oil at bay for longer. Go to Sephora.com and find a foundation that is specifically designed to control oil. Hope that helped!

hey, im a teenager n had acne, i went on these pills called roaccutane (ro ak u tain) and these dry your skin out with side effects like dry lips n hands. its used to get rid of acne. it is calculated on your weight so the course is like 4 months or something, i started in november and my skin doesn't get oily, i havent had a spot for about 3 weeks yet you need to moisturize.

roaccutane stops your skin producing oily crap n so stops spots

having oily skin will cause spots but NO amount of washing your face will stop it, it will do about 5% of the job roaccutane would do

however, you cant use it if pregnant, but your best bet is to see a doctor. and ask him about it as it will definatly stop oily skin

good luck

Try beauty products which are really formulated for oily skin. VMV Hypoallergenics for OiIy Skin works 4 me since they are mild on the skin (coz i have a sensitive skin too). They have facial cleansers, toners, %26amp; moisturizer with sunblock. They are also quite affordable. You may also want to try pore minimizers like that of the Face Shop.

Twice a week, you need to use mild facial scrubs to remove dead skin cells which tend to accumulate on the pores since oily skin usually results to open pores and eventually ends up to pimples. Try also facials for oily skin once a month. Diamond Peel works for me. The use of blotting paper is really good. If you have enough time to wash your face during the day, then go ahead wash it.. Hey cheer up, oily skin prevents wrinkles %26amp; fine lines.
U have to wash it every second u get.....
apply powder on your face before you sleep, eat less oily food, wash your face at least 5-7 times a day with a face wash and avoid using soap on your face.
