Can a person with dry skin turn to oily skin with a moisturizer?

So I have dry skin, after I wash my face it feels dry and a little tight. Throughout the day I cannot see an ounce of oil on my face its very dry. So I moisturize at night with cetaphil moisturizing cream and it moisturizes well.





I use a small amount but after a few minutes when I look in the mirror my face is very oily and shiny. It then looks like I have oily skin!





Is this normal, does that mean my oil glands are secreting oil to the surface of the skin because when I don't moisturize I don't see any oil on my face.





My skincare regimen





Morning: Wash with Olay dual action cleanser and toner


(oil free, non-comodeginic, no alcohol)





Moisturize with olay spf 15 lotion (oil free, non-comodeginic)





Night: Wash with Olay dual action cleanser and toner


(oil free, non-comodeginic, no alcohol)


Moisturize: Cetaphil mousterizing cream (for dry skin, non-comedeginc )





Exfoliate: 1-2 times per week with olay cream cleanser

Ok so Origins is like environmentally friendly natural skin care. It's not very well-known, but there are retail stores in more expensive, high-end malls, and it's owned by Estee Lauder so it's in department stores as well. They literally have anything you need for every single skin type...they can come up with something for you for any skin concerns you might have. I work there, so this is what I came up with for you:





Cleanser: Pure Cream (for dry skin) it鈥檚 a lotion (but a cleanser at the same time!) and you don鈥檛 need water, it removes dirt and make up and everything.


Toner: You can choose between the two following: A Perfect World (with White Tea), it鈥檚 for dry skin, and if you know anything about White Tea, it鈥檚 really great for you, it鈥檚 an anti-oxidant, which will help prevent anti-aging as well. The other one you can use is the Organic toner, which helps with breakouts. I think both would be fine for your skin, but it鈥檚 up to you.


Serum: You should use serums because they protect your face from make up and for many other reasons but I鈥檓 not going to sell to you right now, haha. It鈥檚 good to use two serums, but you really only need one so you can go with both or choose which one you think suits you better. One is Modern Fusion, which will help with any dullness or discoloration or scarring concerns you might have, and the other one is A Perfect World White Tea Skin Guardian, which creates a bubble around your face and helps prevent anti-aging (also with the White Tea).


Moisturizer: So many good ones to choose from, but I鈥檒l recommend two. The first one is the A Perfect World moisturizer, which is definitely made for dry skin and will definitely not make you break out, once again this one has White Tea in it. The other one is Have A Nice Day Moisturizing Cream, which is good for dry skin and also has SPF 15 in it.


Eye Cream: This is something that you should use, but not necessary. The one I would recommend is Youthtopia which helps out with all eye problems (dark circles, puffiness, wrinkles, etc.).





Now none of these products have alcohol in it and a moisturizer will certainly not make your skin turn oily. (Remember that you are going to always want a moisturizing CREAM, which is for dry skin, not a moisturizing LOTION, which would be for combination-oily.) Also, all of these different products can be used with each other, that's why Origins is so great, they can create a good skin care line for anyone with any problem! try a lighter moisturizer, are you using heavy cream? I think you should not use toner twice a day. I had the same type of skin and wash face every night with baby wipes (they do a great job!) and then exfoliate once a week and use a light moisturizer morning and night. If my skin is real dry I use Hope in a jar at night
u dont really have 2 use so many treatments


just use acne face wash and put on more moisturizing lotion!


and when u put on lotion it would look like u have oily skin but its not da oily things help u moisturiz ur skin, but if u dont like da oily look than buy some lotion dat r not so oily!
