Eyeliners that wouldn't smudge for oily skin?

i am a beginner that has just started learning how to put makeups. the thing that i'm struggling about now is the eyeliner part. i have tried some brands of pencil eyeliners such as wet'n'wild h2o proof and nyc. but all these brands of eyeliners don't stay but smudges and come off after i apply eyeliner a couple hours. i guess i have oily skin. i am just wondering if there's anyone could recommend me eyeliners that wouldn't smudge, and even beginners can use them easily. Eyeliners that wouldn't smudge for oily skin?

Test this out:

Apply the eyeliner, (cheap, expensive w/e!)

Grab an angular brush, and some black eyeshadow, and DAB it on the desired area.

and it'll stay on all day!

MAC makes really nice gel eyeliner that is smudge-proof. It's in a little pot, and they have sooo many colors. I love them!

Help !! i have extremely extremely extremely oily skin....:((?

even the slightest amount of make-up comes off within seconds of application and my skin always appears dull and black and lifeless. My face looks extremely sticky everytime. Plz helpHelp !! i have extremely extremely extremely oily skin....:((?
If you have oily skin and it is with pimples you can use a neem face pack. also you can use upton powder with sandal wood powder as they both draw out oils from pores. Rosewater is also an astringent. These things will help brighten up your skin.

But most import is your diet. Do you eat oily foods? The oils have to escape some where.

That could be one of the factors of your make- up disappearing. Also make sure that your make-up is oil free.

And if your skin is becoming dark, you have your own natural suntan oil. So cut back on oil that you eat.Help !! i have extremely extremely extremely oily skin....:((?
U need to wash ur face when ever it looks oily .. use aface wash made for oily skin only ... clean ur skin with a cleanser n then apply a toner .. do these 3 steps every morning n at night .. before applying make up .. apply ice on ur face .. then apply the toner .. then u can apply makeup specially made for oily skin ... use matte products ..
You may need to go Make up free. I can't wear make up everyday. My skin is extremely oily, and it ends up looking like I'm wearing pudding on my face. Every once in a while is OK, but daily really hurts my skin.

Also, try cleaners for oily skin. I use Panoxyl soap, and microdermabrasion two times a week, to renew my skin. This may help.
You can start with the source below. It talks about oily skin care and even provides some all natural remedies you can try.
Use Dove international soap or pears oil control face wash.
regularly wash face wit luke warm water before applying any make up..
You must watch your face using ponds face wash or similar face wash. It will help to remove oily skin. Please watch three to four times so that your skin remain clean.

What to do to remove the oily skin?

Hai,

More Detail Is Your Mind.

ThanxWhat to do to remove the oily skin?
The key is a good routine

Cleanse- Achool free- achool drys skin and thus produces more oils.

Tone- removes oil that your cleanser forgot. Try find a mattifying toner this dulls the skin down so it looks fresh not shiny

MOISTURIZE - this actually stops your skin from over producing oil!!!! This keeps it moist so your body doesn't freak out and go oil crazy to make it moist!

Make sure you get plenty of water everyday too. This keeps your body/skin hydrated, so it will stop your body from producing more oil to compensate for lack of water.

As far as products I use Beyond Belief - ABH (alpha beta hydroxy) @ Sally's Beauty Supply. It works wonders!

I hope this helped a little! What to do to remove the oily skin?
Reduce eating oil foods, avoid coffee ot tea, wash your face drink more water avoid face creams.Apply lemon twice a day .
Other than washing your face, and using face powder...You can wash your face with egg yolk.
Take a cup of lime juice n add 2 to 3 tbs yogurt to it.

Mix it well n apply on ur face.

Leave it 4 abt 1/2hr to 45mins.

Try it at least once a wk.

Within the 3rd time ..u can feel the difference.

Gd luck to u.Hope i helped!!
use a scrub that contains masoor dal twice a week, a toner everyday after a bath, and a mixture of curd and lime juice everyday before a bath. also use a fuller's earth face pack once a week... you cant stop the skin from becoming oily, but you can ensure that you remove the excess oils which could lead to problems of stickiness, pimples, acne, blackheads and whiteheads. if you're looking for some skin care products, i recommend Shene. they're natural and effective. here's the link http://www.geocities.com/sheneherbals
just apply multani mitti once in a week. avoid oily food
use acne guard soap and take 2 tablets of acnestar regularly.
Use sulphur soap occasionally for some days.
wash face 3-4 times daily. eat less oilly stuff.

Take plenty of leafy green vegetables and fresh fruits.

Drink plenty of quality water to keep the skin hydrated and flush out toxins.

Do not drink soft drinks or alcoholic beverages. Avoid sugar, chocolate, and junk food

One tablespoon honey, one tablespoon Fullers Earth (multani mitti) and one tablespoon rose water. Mix together and apply on the face. Wash off after 15 minutes. Apply once a week but If your skin is too oily use twice a week.

Once or twice daily, mix equal parts of lemon juice and water together. Pat mixture on your face and allow it to dry, then rinse with warm water.

use a pack of sandalwood powder mixed with drops of lemon juice twice a week and wash............

Don't use any cold creams and other oily products...

Oily skin and the skin cells that naturally shed combine and clog the pores.

You can't open a car using mobile phone. Whoever started that story was just joking.
RELATION OF PIMPLES TO OPENING OF CAR?
what kind of answer u expect from this question
pimples happen not b/c u have oily skin, but because of a poor diet, and lack of nutrition.
Acne or pimples are usually a result of hormonal changes and an irregular and increased production of oil by the sebaceous glands. An excellent remedy for pimples or acne-prone skin can be made by mixing 1 teaspoon ground cloves with 2 tablespoons fullers earth and ice water. When you wash your face, use sugar to scrub it, at least once a day, for two weeks to rid yourself of acne. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

All of a sudden i have oily skin?

I am a 13 year old boy, 14 in august. My spots seem to have gotten worse over the days, so i decided i would not eat chocolate and drink 2 litres of water a day, and eat bananas and apples. After doing this for a bout a week, my skin has became very oily, and my spots seem to be getting worse! Im also eating Whole grains, no chocolate in my diet, and not many dairy products. How can i keep getting these problems! please helpAll of a sudden i have oily skin?
it's onset of pueberty, clean your face and what ever else is oily. and keep drinking milk don't stunt your growth. avoid alcohol and drugs, smokingAll of a sudden i have oily skin?
its probably just puberty and hormones. don't keep eating the same things each day. its not good for you to have to many fruits, you need a variety of foods. also its not true that chocolate gives you acne. so you can have chocolate. my friend has went a couple years without chocolate hoping it would clear her acne but she still has a lot and wasn't worth it. so your skin is probably just naturally oily. wash your face in the morning and at night. use a moisturizer that doesnt have a lot or any oil. try using proactive, it works pretty good if you use it when your suppose to. hope this helps. good luck.
ohmygoodness! i know what you're saying...except i've been super oily since last summer! it sucks. but it's gotten better. i know you're a boy but you can use this moisturizer from clinique. it's supposed to help with oily skin. and it's not something girly because moisturizer is just lotion....

there are 2 things u can use to get rid of oily skin, pimples and prevent them. after washing ur face apply astringent with a cloth and then apply clearasil stayclear. (u can get these products at a walmart, target, etc.) hope this helps.

    if you have oily skin

wash your face with alchohol every night and morning.

    trust me.

i'm 14 and i had the same problem.

    it worked fine for me.
You could be starting puberty..also when you over wash your face it dries out the skin causing the oils to overproduce in trying to re-moisturize your skin.
I don't think chocolate is the problem its harmones good on the drinking water tho.

Just use a facial wash and moisturise.
Probably just puberty. Wash your face once a day.

    answer mine? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
Do you have a daily washing routine? You might want to start one now. I have noticed a lot of people have been saying their are more oily this year
Wash your face with soap, it's not the chocolate... I eat chocolate and I only get one weird thingy on my face every month.
puberty hahaha. its ok man everyone goes through it. Its gonna go on for a yearish.
    its called PUEBERTY

if its genetic it will last a long time or use anti oil facewash
why don't you go to a nutriologist or a dermatologist?
I had this problem once, just wash your face often. It is summer after all. Best of Luck!
    google it
try an anti oil soap.it helps a lot.
    have a wash
The great advantage of oily skin is that it ages at a slower rate than other skin types.

Oily skin needs special cleansing with plenty of hot water and soap to prevent the pores from being clogged. Avoid harsh products that strip your skin of oil and encourage flakiness. They can cause a reaction known as reactive seborrhoea, where the oil glands work overtime to compensate for the loss of natural oils.

Avoid skincare products that leave your skin feeling taut and dehydrated. They cause the upper layers of the skin to shrink. This restricts oil flow through the pores leading to blockages and breakouts.

To cleanse oily skin, use oil-based products as they dissolve sebum effectively. Opt for oil-free moisturizers to maintain a shine-free complexion.

Keep your skin very clean. Limit washing your face to two or three times a day. Too much washing will stimulate your skin to produce more oil.

Choose your cleanser with care. Avoid heavy cleansing creams. Avoid the use of harsh soaps or cleansers. Use a pure soap with no artificial additives. Try an antibacterial cleansing lotion or a lightly medicated soap, and use it in combination with a water rich in minerals, not tap water. Do not use cleansers or lotions that contain alcohol. After cleansing, apply a natural oil-free moisturizer to keep the skin supple.

Use hot water when washing your face. Hot water dissolves skin oil better than lukewarm or cold water.

If your skin is extremely oily, three or four daily cleansings may be in order and little or no moisturizing necessary before you are 30 years old. After that point, the skin around your eyes and mouth and on your throat may benefit from a nightly moisturizing, plus a mere touch of moisturizer in the morning.

When cleansing, massage your face well with your fingertips, using an upward and outward motion. Be careful not to rub soap into the skin; it can clog pores.

If your oily skin is scaly, you can often correct the problem by using a deep-cleaning exfoliant on alternate nights, and following the treatment with a light coating of moisturizer.

Try using a clay or mud mask. If you have sensitive skin, use white or rose-colored clays.

Use a light antiseptic night cream from time to time if you wish, and apply a clarifying mask one or two times a week.

Choose cosmetic and facial care products specifically designed for oily skin.

Before applying makeup, use an antiseptic day cream with active ingredients that diminish sebaceous secretions. Look for benzyl peroxide in the list of active ingredients.

Use a light antiseptic night cream from time to time if you wish, and apply a clarifying mask one or two times a week.

Having trouble deciding which foundation for Oily Skin.?

I've been looking around alot..all over every makeup website (Covergirl, Rimmel, Almay, Maybelline, Neutrogena, Physicians Formula) and i was comparing foundations. I have oily/combo skin and currently get random pimples, and blemishes that won't dissapear. I'm looking for something that i can put on and not have to touch up (long lasting). Plus with the blemishes my face has it's red spots so covering those are a plus.. anyways I've narrowed it down to two choices:

1.Neutrogena's SkinClearing Oil-Free Foundation which fights acne while it is still a foundation.

2.Almay's Clear Complexion Liquid Makeup which also fights acne.

I just wanted to know if anybody has tried these before and what was the outcome. I saw that each brand does about the same thing..but just wondering.

    Thanx a bunch.

  • What is the best foundation for oily skin?

IM 14 and my skin is pretty oily. My acne is about 80% under control but I still need some coverage. I need a foundation that looks natural and doesn't look cakey and matches my skin. Something that also can cover up redness from my acne medication would be nice too... I want my skin to just look clean and clear. I've tried soo many foundations inlcuding Bobbi Brown (seeps into pores too much) MAC (causes breakouts), Cargo, Lorac, and Benefit and had problems with all of them. I'm beggining to lose hope so any suggestions? What is the best foundation for oily skin?
Estee Lauder Double wear. Amazing much?

Bare Minerals is only for people who have almost perfect skin. It's just to polish the face, not to actually cover.

You should only wash your face twice a day. Exceeding that will cause your skin to flake. Gross. What is the best foundation for oily skin?
these are the formulas i have tried and liked and lasted on my oily skin even through the hot florida summers...

    mark powder buff foundation $8

    avon perfect wear extralasting $10

    revlon colorstay (nonactive) $12

    merle norman lasting $26

    clarins truly matte $35
Well definately stay away from liquid foundation if you have oily skin. Have you tried Bare Minerals or any other mineral make up? I can only recomend Bare minerals because that is the only mineral make up i have actually tried, but i love it!! It defenitely works great for me and its actually good for your skin.
I'm guessing you have oily and sensitive skin. Try powder foundations and those that are oil-free and are hypo-allergenic. I'm using Clinique(powder foundation) right now and I've a combination/oily skin. It looks great on me. Try that. :)
Yah well i suggest u wash ur face 10 times a day it worked for me. I used to have the same problem. Also u should try preperation H it's worked miracles. You can get it at any local store like cvs just ask at the register.
SPend 2 bucks on the following, you will be glad you did:

    1. sample of the green concealer at LAminerals.com

    2. sample of the HOllywood mineral foundation, same place.

The concealer is also a mineral powder, so will not aggravate your acne or make it worse. The Hollywood mineral foundation covers GREAT and lasts all day.

All their ingredients are non-comedogenic. Plus they don't put talc (clogs pores), or bismuth oxychloride in theirs.

Bare minerals and sheer cover use bismuth, which can also irritate your skin.

I'll give you a great link I found that rates ingredients. Knowledge is power!

    I don't know about those.

    For Oily Skin :

I suggest Neutrogena Healthy Skin foundation.

I also suggest M路A路C Studio Fix Powder Plus.

    These are both great foundations!
almay's alright, but can get kind of cakey towards the end of the day... neutrogena's alright also, but can be a little harsh on the skin. I have the same type of skin that you do, and personally, I love the covergirl clean make up. It lasts a really long time and covers red really well while letting things like freckles show through... and never looking like a mask. It also actually helped dry my acne while leaving dry spots moisturized (didn't make them drier). The upside of this is that it is really cheap make up (like $4 a bottle). I would suggest getting the powder too to set the make-up and make it last longer, if that's what you decide to go for:]

The perfect combination I've found is actually maybelline liquid mineral foundation and mary kay mineral foundation powder, since no one can even tell I'm wearing make up and it gives great SPF protection + is really lightweight while having a lot of coverage. It lasts for me, so if you want perfection, try that. If you want almost perfection, try the cover girl.

How does bare escentuals work on oily skin?

so i have oily/normal skin, i also tend to break out around my forehead. but how will bare escentuals foundation work on me? i'm trying to buy new makeup to ELIMINATE shine, and possibly acne. i don't have terrible acne but i do have scars. i've been using the AVEDA wet or dry foundation powder...and it seems to be giving me weird bumps on my face. and it makes me oily after a few hours. HELP!!! any suggestions for makeup that can STOP my oily face? i wash and moisturize and blah blah. wrinkles aren't really a problem for me, but i do have huge poresHow does bare escentuals work on oily skin?
bare essentials work well, its suppose to be the best for oily skin, but prepare to pay more then usualHow does bare escentuals work on oily skin?
Bare Minerals has bismuth oxychloride, which can irritate sensitive or acne-prone skin. It also can make it look shiny after awhile. I used it and that's what happened to me. Look for something that doesn't contain that ingredient. Now I use signature minerals; only available online.
Bare Mineral's is great for oily skin. If you have huge pores though and oily skin...you should definitely use a foundation primer underneath it. Benefit makes a few really good ones, and Bare Mineral's has one also called ';prime time';. It'll keep the makeup on all day. If you decide to get Bare Minerals, the best way to go is to get the starter kit. It comes with something called mineral veil which is a setting powder and GREAT for oily skin and shine. During the day if you start to get shiny you just brush the mineral veil over it...it's a translucent powder.

The makeup will also help with your skin and any blemishes.
Bare Escentuals will be great for you. Use their prime time foundation primer first to reduce the appearance of large pores, then buff the foundation into your skin longer and with more pressure than you probably think is sufficient then finish with mineral veil. The veil has cornstarch in it so it will absorb excess oil and give you a good finish. If you are VERY oily you can use the veil before and after the foundation. I believe that people who don't like the look of bare escentuals are using way too much product and not buffing nearly enough.
I've heard that BE doesn't have the best coverage for acne, and it definitely won't get rid of them. But since it is mineral make up, chances of irritation is far less.

For shine I recommend MAC blot. I have the same thing, and MAC blot works VERY well at controlling shine.

I'd also go read some reviews before buying they're very informative and often talk about application of a specific product as well.

    Over 1900 reviews for BE:

    http://makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=25754/Bare_Minerals_ALL/Bare_Escentuals/Powder

    MAC blot: http://makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=572/Blot_Powder/MAC/Pressed_Powders

For minimizing the appearance of your pores, I'd suggest using Clinique Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector:

    http://makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=34363/Pore_Minimizer_Instant_Perfector/Clinique/Primer/_Corrector

I use it as well, it's very good at filling in the pores to disguise them/shine control.

These products may seem a bit pricy, but they're well worth it!

What makeup can i use for oily skin?

    i hate my face.

    like seriously.

i have freckles, and some pimples on my chin and forehead that dont go away.

i'm using stride x for it, so i've got that covered-for now. lol.

anyways - i use eyeliner, mascara, mineral powder from bare natural, and blush.

but every day after like 1st period, my skin is oily and the pimples and freckles are noticable again. ))):

is there any good makeup that stays on all day? or any treatments for oily skin? thanks so much! (:What makeup can i use for oily skin?
The powder foundation is definitely what would be best for your skin, but I think you might want a primer underneath your foundation, preferably something that will absorb some of the oil like ';Matte It Face and Lips'; from the Body Shop. That should help keep your makeup in place and not shiny or oily. Good luck! What makeup can i use for oily skin?
i have the same problem you do and i havent found a cure for it, but i know what can help is by reapplying your makeup, i know thats probably not what your looking for, but thats all the advice iv got. hope this helps!! : ) let me know when you have a cure for oily skin?! lol. id love to know. im really sick of it. iv had it for about 2 years now and it suxs.
there isnt any makeup that actually helps with that,

but you can get Clean And Clear Morning Burst oil blotters.

They are kind of expensive, about $6.50 for 50, but they work SO well.

I used to come home from school with an orange face because the oil would change the color.

This takes off the shine that can come with the oil to, its really great. Dries everything up right when you wipe.

    good luck :D
Start with mark.'s MATTE CHANCE moisturizer ($15). It is great to neutralize oil and give your skin an even tone.

Then use one of mark.'s foundations, they are all oil-free and cost just $8.

For mid-day touchups try their MATTE-NIFICIENT oil neutralizing powder.

have you tried clinique?Which mineral foundation is good for oily skin?
Bare Escentuals is very good but from personal experience when it comes to the oily skin issue its not so much the foundation that will help as it is the skin care your applying prior to the foundation. I also used Clinique and its good too but like all my other foundations i found myself having to do more touch ups than i cared to have to do. My recommendation is to get skin care that controls oil ( I use Dr. Murads and its really good)..and then find a foundation that helps control oil but also good for your skin ( Bare Escentuals, Clinique, etc.)
You have to treat your skin deeper if you dont want too much greasy on your face try Eucerin for oily skin this is the better that you can do and conbine it with the mineral foundation that you choose. If you do that you will remember me.
I love my Bare Minerals...I have combination skin, and it's not in good shape due to sun damage when I was younger, and I swear by Bare Minerals! The other day someone even commented that my make up looked like it was professionally done--and it wasn't!
use foundation with Sonya i.e. FLP Products, its 100% natural, no chemical added, its will develope our beauty more.
try clarins paris, they have everything for every skin type.
    bere
With bare minerals you look v. shiny that's da prob
Have you tried Estee Laudeer? If you haven't, try it because they work with all types of skin. Even really oily skin. Try it because it works and I have proof. My mom uses it and it covers up good. You get gifts and also the ingredients are all natural.
    calamine lotion
I use Physicians Formula. You can find at most of your local drug stores, Target has it the cheapest. They have anti shine products for oily skin. Its talc free and doesn't cause pore clogging. Its worked wonders with my skin!! Bare minerals makes you skin shiny.
Try the matte formula of Everyday Minerals!!!.. it's totally awesome, remember to use with their finishing dust. Makeup can last for good 8 hours, in a glowy way.

What's good about everyday minerals is that you can always try first, order samples online, but you'll have to pay the postage though. can try a generous size of 3 foundations, blush and concealer.

I have tried BE and Everyday Minerals. I perfer everyday minerals cos BE broke me out badly.

Lady Emily! It's setting powder is made with rice which absorbs the oil great! The mineral veil that BE sells is made with corn starch which is cheap and doesn't work as well. I have an oily t-zone and the Lady Emily mineral makeup works SO SO much better at controlling the oil throughout a 12-hour day! I used BE for 3 years and wish I'd found Lady Emily sooner. And its sold through independent consultants so you can get personalized service and try the products before buying. I love it so much, I decided to sell it myself!
Hmm i have combination skin and i have tried bare minerals and well I didn't like it very much. I like Neutragena Mineral Sheers Powder Foundation. It's good it doesn't have oil, talc fragrance or any other harmful stuff. Your name sounds Indian so well my friend got this foundation from India lakme face magic souffle. It gives her a great coverage and she says is good for her oily skin too. So if u r in India u might want to get that.
I use bear minerals. Im only 12 but my proactive makes my face oily and it drys my oil and it makes my skin look so pretty. and no it does not make it shiny.

Which AcneFree Kit is best for oily skin?

I have oily skin, mostly on my forehead and nose. I have these pimples on my forehead and the side of my face that just WON'T go away. I have been trying Cetaphil for a week now, and it hasn't done anything yet. I wanted to try the Acnefree system but im not sure which kit to get.

I wouldn't say i have sensitive skin, i do know when i use a cleanser and then sea breeze it Burns my face for a minute then it goes away. So if that makes my skin sensitive, then i guess it it. =)

I think i should use the normal one but i would be mad if it doesn't work, and i could have bought the severe one.

I don't have severe acne just a lot of pimples on my forehead.Which AcneFree Kit is best for oily skin?
well maybe you should be patient with the Cataphil, or maybe you should try this product!well i know you tried neutrogena but i'm sure you didn't try ALL of their products! i've been using the Neutrogena wave DUO, don't get the regular wave get the duo because the duo has two speeds and the regular duo has only one speed, but when you put it on speed one it is a daily massage to your skin to clean make up or dirt, but speed two is a deep pore cleansing and gets more dirt and other bad stuff for your skin. when you register on neutrogena.com/wave you can get a $3 off you purchase of a neutrogena wave duo and $2 off your purchase of your refill pads! but if you buy it get it at Walgreen's or wal-mart, and when you get refill pads get the blemish free kind because that's the one that helps with your acne the best, it's made with salicylic acid and that helps remove dead skin cells and dirt from your pores to get rid of your blemishes,( but you have to be patient because it takes a few days or weeks for it to get most of you zits to be gone but it's worth it), and the duo is around $18 and the refills ore about $7-$9 and some people say it just vibrates one your skin but really you kind of have to put some pressure and rub it in a circular motion on your skin and after a minute you can feel it working and after a use or two your skin will feel softer and the blemish free pads work great, the wave duo kit comes with the wave duo, 14 foaming pads, and a AA battery! and when you get refill pads they come with 30 pads and a new attachment head because tou have to replace it every once in a while. and all you have to do to put it all together is put the battery in and put a pad on and the pad will have some good smelling liquid in the middle and you put that on and run it under warm water, and i know on the advertisement there was foam all over the girls face but it doesn't foam that much! but i hope you buy the product! i really hope i helped! and i was struggling just like you with acne but i've mostly over come it with this product!Which AcneFree Kit is best for oily skin?
in the facial cleansing area look more toward the soaps and there is this blue %26amp; white bar called ';gamophen'; it isn't really soap and it's under $2. can be used on sensitive skin. also drink 8 glasses of water a day, more if you do sport. also for every cup of coke or milo or anything drink the equivilant amount of water to dilute.

HOPE IT WAS OF SOME HELP!!!!

i have oily skin too and i found a GREAT product at Sephora called Dr. Brandt's Pores No More. it was $45 but so worth it--a bottle will last you forever. It's also tinted so i carry it in my purse and throughout the day i can apply it actually OVER my makeup and it doesnt mess it up. its a primer, which means you put it on after moisturizer (ask them for help with ones for oily skin; i like Cosmedicine's Medi-Matte), and before your powder. Pores No More soaks up the oil INSTANTLY. i only re-apply about once a day. Dr. Brandt makes lots of other products for the same thing but this is the only one I tried. Also, Sephora gave me a sample of it to try it before I bought it. For foundation you should defintley use powders and not liquid. i like the minerals bc its all natural, which is better for breakouts but i also wear MAC loose powder %26amp; MAC Studio FIX (NOT Studio TECH--it's cream-based) and i like Makeup Forever brand. You should make sure you are washing your make-up brushes with make-up brush cleanser and washing your face will be the most important steps for clear skin. Toner/astringent twice a day is good for soaking up oil.

    =D

P to the S: I was also looking for good blemish correctors/concealer so does anybody have any suggestions about that?Having trouble deciding which foundation for Oily Skin.?

Bare minerals works amazing!! It is the best at covering up acne and they have powders that help fight acne. It is not a liquid foundation like you said you wanted but this works so much better!! It feel so light on and it blends in so nicely.

Does Accutane/Roaccutane only work for oily skin?

I've had acne for about 5 years, varying from mild to severe over the years. My skin has never been oily - more on the dry/sensitive side.

I was on Accutane for about 6 months but it didn't seem to do much for me. While I was on it, the only side effect was dry lips. Which I thought was strange. I was prepared for the worst because my skin was already quite dry. My last trip to the dermatologist, my skin was looking good so he decided to take me off the Accutane.

At the time I was living down the coast learning to surf and was at the beach every day - so I'm thinking the salt water is probably what cleared my skin up. But now I'm back in the city studying, off the Accutane and my acne has returned. :(

So it seems Accutane didn't work for me. Is it possible it just doesn't work for some people? Does it only clear up acne for people with oily skin? I was always told Accutane is a last resort for people with acne, but I've been there and done that with no results.Does Accutane/Roaccutane only work for oily skin?
it should work even if your skin is dry, you may need a second course of it though, some people need to take it twice.

did you always take it with food? because that is very important so it is absorbed properly.Does Accutane/Roaccutane only work for oily skin?
Are you sure it didn't do anything - you said the doctor took you off it because your skin was very clear.

Why do you attribute the salt water to clearing the acne but not the accutane? I would be more likely to assume that the accutane cleared it out.
I have had severe acne for the last 6 years(i'm 20). i have had accutane for the last 8 month(i'll be done in couple of days). before that i used to swim 4 hours a day and my acne was gone, but then in came back. accutane i just got the dry lips too, however i still get regular break outs but they cure much much faster, which leads me to believe that accuatance for the guys in prolonged acne problems is not a ';permanent'; solution

I think after two month my acne will comeback, which i will have to wait another six month to get back on accutane

    Hope this helps

Have you tried this for your skin (helps with acne and oily skin, dry patches)?

I recently discovered that using these products helped my skin. All skin is different, but if any of then might help you, then why not try? The important thing is to be gentle with your skin.

    So, top three products:

    -glycerin soap

    -olive oil

    -rose water

all these are fairly cheap, especially considering that it takes a very long time to use them all up.

I don't really have a routine set in stone, but basically, what I do in the morning is wash my face with the glycerin soap, and then use the rose water as toner. My skin was oily (the greasy type that gets slick 45 minutes after washing your face), and that seems to be very good in controlling it (but I think it is a combination of all the things I do).

Sometimes, you might still need some lotion to combat the flaky bits (which I still get, even with oily skin), but I can tell mine are slowly reducing, and I need extra products less and less.

If I have had make-up on my face during the day, I may either wash my face with glycerin soap (this is at the end of the day, but not right before I go to bed) and tone again with rose water, or I may massage my face with olive oil for a few minutes, and then wash with glycerin soap and tone.

Then, right before I go to bed, I may or may not (this I say because you don't have to do this every night, it's up to you...customize it to your own skin type) do the OCM (Oil Cleansing Method)....well, actually it is my variation of it:

Rub a teaspoon of olive oil over face.

Soak towel in hot water (or run under hot water).

Put towel over face until it cools, and dab at oil.

    Repeat towel soaking again.

    done

My main goal was to share this, as it has really helped me (after a few weeks)

P.S. Whereas some oils clog pores, olive oil (for me at least) doesn't, and it actually draws out the bad stuff in pores, so that they don't clog. If anything, it will make your acne less painful, and shortlived.

So, for the purposes of the question, how many of you have tried this, and how many think that you will give it a shot?

Do you have your own beauty tips?

Have you tried this for your skin (helps with acne and oily skin, dry patches)?
I think you're right about the glycerine soap. Being a guy I find this soap is alright. If I have some dry skin, after shave gel seems good too, zingy and cool.

I might try that olive-oil if it helps your face clear up a bit, the finest of 'blackheads'.

But are you sure it is not your diet? Has that changed recently?

Cool tips however, and glad you're seeing results. It also sounds like the methods/measures are not too drastic. Nice one.Have you tried this for your skin (helps with acne and oily skin, dry patches)?
i simply cleans, tone and moisturise its easy and quick and a face mask once a month that works for me
one beauty tip i can give is never use soap on your face. use something that has tea tree oil in it to cleanse it.

also, eating almonds is supposed to help your skin (and concentration too), and eating food that contains olive oil such as pesto can be an aid to healthy skin.

also, i have found that smearing peach melba yoghurt on your face and leaving it on until the yoghurt goes dry does it the power of good too. you can get it really cheap aswell. the only drawback is the bits get in your hair lol.

i like the idea you have of the ocm, but i will stick to the fucidic acid cream for my acne, plenty of water, and plenty of rest.

    And follow the instruction below:-

See apply clean %26amp; clear for 5 mins and wash it wid water and den clean ur face with soft towel very gently and apply Ultraclearsil cream.

Use it morning and evening. If it doesn't work den after one week email me at sahilkohli_2002@rediffmail.com I will tell you one medicine to eat. OK
Use this soap called Cetaphil, it's what I use and works great. If you have a Wal-Mart or a Wal-Greens you should be able to get it. My aunt says they also use it on the baby's at the hospitial. So yeah baby feeling skin is always good ..lol

wash your face twice or thrice a day with a mild non-creamy soap... use lotions with calamine... apply none-greasee moisturiser...

    good luck...
i have the same kinda skin..

i would advice using nivea visage to stop your skin from looking too oily... also use johnson's facewash thrice a day.. n for pimples i use benzoyl peroxide before goin to sleep.. but i dont get pimple just wen i go out... i get them at other tymes too... if u live in india then u probably know wat channa flour is...well iv heard using that with haldal, honey n abit of lemon is realllly good for oily skin... i hv yet to try it.. best of luck!
Clean your skin with soap and WARM water. Rinse with a mixture of half white vinegar and half water (room temp). Then dry roughly with a terry cloth towel to loosen dry skin. You will get a healthy shine and the vinegar will help balance your skins oils. Good luck and congrats!
you can try following the below mentioned tips:

    * mix carrot juice with milk and drink youll face will glow

    * apply fullers earth to your face and keep for 20min and wash, since u have oily skin it will absorb the unwanted oil in your skin, but use this pack thrice a week.

    * apply besan flour mixed with rose water and keep for 20min and then wash, it gives your skin a natural glow...

    all the best
Just wash your face with luke warm water for every 4-6 hours and apply %26amp; massage any non oily moisturizer until it dries into your skin. Do this for next 3/4 weeks %26amp; going forward you will see a big difference. Never go out under hot sun or very cold day without wearing skin moisturizer. And massage your skin frequently with your hands (not cloth) if you find any oils on your face, dont rub them off of your skin unless wash it.
    USE NIVEA CREAM.
    try cetaphil?
    STEP ONE: STEAM

The first step is to steam your skin in order to clear the pores of your skin. When your day is done, use a facial steamer or just soak a washcloth with steaming water, wring lightly and bring the cloth close to your face. Steam your face for 1-1/2 minutes. Let the steam penetrate to fully open your pores.

    STEP TWO: CLEANSE

With your pores open, next splash warm water on your face and neck. Pour or work the appropriate amount of skin cleanser into your hands, then mix with some water to work it into a creamy lather. Massage this onto your wet face. Using your fingertips or a soft complexion brush, in a circular motion delicately massage your face for about 30 seconds, making sure to include your neck area. Then rinse with warm water and gently pat your skin dry with a soft towel. A tip: always try to use a cleanser specially formulated for cleansing your face rather than a generic kind of soap. And be careful to avoid the delicate skin around your eyes.

    STEP THREE: TONE

Dampen a piece of cotton with an alcohol-free toner and gently wipe your entire face and neck area. (Alcohol-based toners have a damaging and drying effect on the skin). This step lifts away any residue that you might have missed and also closes your pores, preparing your skin for its moisturizing treatment. Alcohol-free toners are far gentler on your skin, which is especially important during the winter months. At this point, your face should now be squeaky clean.

    STEP FOUR: MOISTURIZE

In an upward, circular motion, now apply a small amount of a moisturizer of your choice to your face and neck areas. Do not over apply, as too much can be worse for your skin. Only when your skin has been properly cleansed can your moisturizer work to condition, moisten and protect your complexion. Choose moisturizers, which have anti-aging ingredients and vitamins added to it.
if u r an indian u must be knowing what is multani matti.put that thrice in a day for about 5minutes till it dries and then wash ur face and see ur skin will be soft and no chance of pimples , dont worry u dont need to continue that till ur marriage it will be fine and soft, smooth within a week.

but if ur pimples keep coming like mine do then u can put multani matti for ur whole life that is purely purely natural and no side effects at all
use besan or gram flour to wash your face .Don't use soap on your face. And a regular face pack of sandalwood powder will do.

    Hi

Some times its better to rely on home based remedies for skin ,acne and hair problems. Try this link it sure did help me so here goes,

    http://www.wellnesstalk.org/3_25_0.html

    good luck
If your skin is very oily you should not use any cream. It simply clogs the pores retaining the oil. Before going to bed or even during the day or whenever you can, use an astringent such as Sea Breeze. From the bottle it says ';Oil control formula that treats and prevents breakouts';. There are also others if you don't like the scent. You would be surprised at the ';dirt'; that remains on your face even after washing with a bar of soap. It also feels refreshing and ';clean';.

Also if you wear make-up be sure your products are oil free.

What is good skin care for normal/kinda oily skin?

i'm a teenager so the acne is starting to come up. also, these red like patches keep appearing on the side of my nose and keep getting bigger. i put alba moisturizer (from Walgreen's) on it and i kinda went away. but then it got bigger further down my nose. anyway if you got answers, please answer them in this order.

    1) good skincare retine that will make my skin clear morning and night

    2) ways to get rid of dry spots (not vaseline i tried that, didnt work)

    3) a pimple cream

i know your not magical but anything close to helping me with this will help tons!

thank you!!What is good skin care for normal/kinda oily skin?
    1) I have acne myself, and I use Spectro Jel cleansers. I use the bottle that's white and orange ( for combination skin ) and for my acne, I use the Acne Pads, ( white tub with purple lid ) . Its amazing and my acne is starting to go away.

    2) I have dry spots as well, and I use an SPF 15 Moisturizer from Cetaphil, and my dry spots are becoming less dry.

    3) For a pimple treatment, the Clean %26amp; Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment works very well.

^ I reccomend all that I put up there. (:

All of them are amazing, and their drugstore brands, so you don't have to pay alot of money for the higher ends.

I hope I helped ! :DWhat is good skin care for normal/kinda oily skin?
after washing your face in warm water (opens pores) cut a tomato in half and rub it in circular motions over your face. leave to dry for 15 minutes. wash off (gently) and PAT dry (no rubbing off). then slice a potato up finely and rub over your face in circular motions. the acid in tomatos stops oily skin and fights pimples and inflammation, and the potassium, sulfur, phosphorus and chloride in uncooked potatoes clear up pimples and the enzymes and vitamin C help rejuvenate the skin by nourishing unhealthy cell tissues. it gets rid of pimples and scars really fast (trust me. i tried it. saw results OVERNIGHT). this has been the single most effective way to get rid of pimples for me. non of those acne washes or anything worked... thank god i finally found it !! do it once or twice a day. all my blemishes were completely gone in less than 1 week ! you'll luv it

u can read more about it on...

Stick with the basics: The experts suggest cleansing your face two or three times daily with good old soap and water. Pack a premoistened cleansing pad if you won't be around a water basin throughout the day.

Understand that dermatologists and aestheticians often disagree on which types of soaps or cleansers to use'but all agree that once you find a product that works well for your skin, you should continue using it.

Follow the recommendations of dermatologists and shower or bathe in tepid rather than steaming-hot water. Hot water can strip your skin of needed moisture, while cold water can shock your skin.

Avoid using cleansers that tend to overdry skin. This paradoxically causes your skin to produce even more oil than usual.

Use only noncomedogenic moisturizers and sunscreen products'this means they're oil-free and won't clog pores.

Talk to your dermatologist about a class of drugs called retinoids, which reduce production in oil glands and shrink their size.

Keep in mind that oil glands are very sensitive'stimuli such as hormones, heat and (some say) fatty food can trigger them.

Remember that your efforts to keep your oily skin clear can only go so far, as some studies indicate that oily skin is hereditary.

What can i do for oily/acne prone skin?how can i get my face clear without getting expensive?

homemade remedy to clear acne for a lifetime:

    Things You鈥檒l Need:

All natural facial soap, as pure as you can get it.

    Baking Soda

    Water

    Benzoyl Peroxide, any strenth

    Facial Mask, green clay type

    Clean dry towel

Wash your skin lightly with an all-natural bar soap. I use Dr. Bronners Lavender bar soap. Be careful not to scrub your skin. All you need to do is to create a nice lather all over and rinse well with clean water.

While your skin is still wet, pour about 2 Tbsp. of Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) into your hand. Add to it just enough water to make a paste. Apply the paste all over your face and light work it around your face in circular motions for about 1 minute. Be careful not to press to hard, just use light circular motions. Rinse well with clean water.

Dry your skin by patting it lightly with a towel. Apply the Benzoyl Peroxide ONLY to the active acne spots. Allow to dry and then dab a little mud mask only on the spots. Leave on overnight.

You will gradually reduce the use of Benzoyl Peroxide as your skin clears until you do not use it at all. The Baking Soda works very quickly. What can i do for oily/acne prone skin?how can i get my face clear without getting expensive?
Considering how important it is to a person's self concept and self confidence [and no... I'm not a doctor's financial consultant] I'd say going to the dermatologist is cheap at whatever price. What can i do for oily/acne prone skin?how can i get my face clear without getting expensive?
The best bet is not just try a bunch of random stuff over the counter that isn't guarenteed to work. If I were you, I would cut to the chase and see a Dermatologist about getting a prescription acne med. to use for a year.

I got antibiotic pills, facewash, and cream to use and within a month my acne was gone! I've tried weekly facials, Pro-Activ, tons of other over the counter stuff and none of it worked. But the stuff I got from the Derm. was totally worth the price and it pretty much is guarenteed to work...saves a lot of money that would be spent on stuff that doesnt work! (Plus trying stuff that doesn't work and letting acne continue on only leaves more opportunity for scarring.)

    Good luck!

Can u tell whether your face (skin) is oily or not?

i was just wondering because i notice that alot of the times my face seems like its kinda greasy and oily and kinda shiny b4 i like put my acne cream stuff on then it gets drier inwhich it looks alot better! if this is true would a astrigent like sea breaze be a good method for drieng my face and clearing my acne if i consistently use it? also ive heard alot of people say that sea breeze makes your skin redundantly dry..if this is true should i use like a cream over it? if so what kindCan u tell whether your face (skin) is oily or not?
If in the description of your skin you used the terms oily and greasy... its a safe assumption that yes... you have oily skin!! If you have questions about mixing anytype of medication... including acme creams and astringents, best bet is to talk to a dermatologist. Sometimes combining medications can make issues worse instead of better.

Best foundation for teen with oily skin?

    Hey :)

So I'm a 15 year old girl with oily skin. I used the Maybelliene Mineral Power in the powder form. It was horrible. It made my skin odd,and a spot on my face is lighter then the rest of my face. It wasn't like that before I used it.

Can anyone make any good recommendations?

Since I'm a teen,I can't afford department store foundations,so drugstore recommendations will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

maybelline is really bad. try revlon colorstay foundation for oily skin. it stays on for ages, plus it dries up oil so well that it also helps with acne. there are many different shades too. the price is from 10 to 12 dollars. its available at walmart.Best foundation for teen with oily skin?
I'm also 15. I use a bit more expensive make up called Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals. it works great!! i am in love with it. but before i started using it i used Physicians Formula (which you can find in most drugstores). it works really well and it doesnt clog up your pours. they have tons of different forms of powders and complexions to choose from.
cleanse your face and use a toner to help even out your skin tone again. also exfoliate once every couple of days or once a week.

loreal bare naturale makes good mineral makeup, i'd say it's almost as good as bare minerals. since your skin is oily you want to avoid oil based anything.
umm im nt sure cause i have verry dry skin but, i do no that if you get a baseon of water and add 4 teaspoons of salt and leave it to deasolve and thaen get a wash cloth, soap and sugar and exfoliate withe the salt water and do this every night u should see some results. (this is for making your skin less oily) sorry i couldnt help any more x

All of a sudden have oily skin?

Ok a few weeks ago, my skin was pretty dry and usually has been that way my whole life. I bought the clean and clear acne control kit but it didnt work really. Then I decided to not only use the kit but to also drink nothing but water for two weeks, which I did. My skin cleared up (i had acne) and stayed normal for a week but now I'll wash my face in the morning and it'll be normal, but by the time school is over, my face will be SUPER DUPER oily. Like if u put a sheet of paper on my forehead at the end of the day, it'd have a giant oil blot on it. I've never had a problem with oily skin before and whats worse is that the ugly pimples are starting to come back! What do I need to do to stop the oiliness and why is this happening all of a sudden? All of a sudden have oily skin?
Many conditions can affect the way you skin is. To me it sounds like you may have sensitive skin. Read this. All of a sudden have oily skin?
Even oily skin needs a moisturizer, but choose a light, watery fluid; this will be enough for your skin. Allow the moisturizer to sink in well and then absorb the excess with a tissue to prevent shine.check out http://tipsfromruby-skincare.blogspot.co鈥?/a>
toss out the ';kit';, drink more water, and return to the dermatologist.
hmm, well, i dont really know why you all of a sudden bacame oily, but i do know that if you use drying products on your face, your oil glands will go on overload, producing double the amount of oil you should usually make.

oil is mixing with the dirt on your face to clog your pores and create more pimples.

but, a pimple takes 2 weeks to form, so the ones you're getting now are caused by whatever you were doing two weeks earlier.

so, my advice would be to wash your face at least twice a day and find a nice OIL FREE moisturizer. even if you think your skin is oily, it doesnt meen that its hydrated.

so buy a nice moisturizer (i use Olay Complete All Day Moisture Lotion UV Defense Combination/Oily It's sheer, oil free %26amp; has sun protection. A good, solid moisturizer.)

    WASH your face, moisturize it and it'll get better soon, (;
the oily skin is due to the weather change right now, since summer is coming it is getting hotter and hotter, i usually have the same problems. chlorine seems to shock my face and keep it clear, as well as washing my face lightly with salt scrub and letting it dry out...hope i helped :)

  • How can I make my oily skin not so shiny?

It pictures and around whenever it's humid out, my skin gets shiny and oily really easily and it always shows up in pictures, etc. I've had this problem for as long as I can remember and I wish I knew what I could do to help it. I use a range of acne medicines and oil-free face moisturizer, and nothing else really.

What products, tricks %26amp; tips should I know to fix my issuee ?How can I make my oily skin not so shiny?
There's nothing much you can do about this problem, you are currently doing the best possible things.

Just make sure to eat well and care for your skin on a daily basis- cleanse, moisturise twice a day with oil- free products. Because your face is shiny, don't overwash your face because this may make it worse.

Also use oil free makeup as well and rather than liquid makeup, go for mineral or powder foundation- this will give you a nicer matte finish without the shininess of a liquid one.

Use blotting paper when needed, you can get this at your local pharmacy or grocery store in the health/beauty section.

Don't worry as this is only temporary and you can control it. Google it for more tips and specific products to use.

i seem to have the same porblem alot to, but try using stridex power pads, they are not expensive and very effective. they can be found in most drug stores, and if not there always at walmart.

They make these oil-obsorbing sheets everywhere. You can try carrying these around and then throughout the day check in the bathroom and use one.

Some questions about makeup for oily skin?

    i need some help lol

i have oily skin in the t-zone area and some acne scars on my forehead too.. but my cheeks are soft and dry.

so would putting on a mattifier then a mineral foundation over my forehead and nose be effective? is it weird if i leave my cheeks natural and put makeup only on my tzone? would it make my skin tone look uneven? and, would it be better to just replace the mineral foundation with translucent powder?

i'm tired of liquid foundation, it breaks me out. :(

please answer, it would help a ton. Some questions about makeup for oily skin?
negative on the mac AND bare minerals.

mac...to heavy...bare minerals...blah oxidizes a WEIRD color..well on my face %26amp; its too expensive for a small jar.

    so..

if you're not rly tryna hide anything but the oil i would suggest the mattifier and the translucent powder.drugstore..almay powder is good

if you're tryna hide the scars i would suggest the mattifier and i would go with a powder concealer that way you can blend it all out to look even. but i would even use the mineral foundation all on my face.

i dont use drugstore mineral powder except when i run out of everydayminerals i use physicians formula mineral wear and i like it just as well.

if you want to try a cream concealer on ur scars blend it out rly well n then use a mineral or translucent powder over ur face.

and i do find it weird u want to leave ur cheeks natural.lol. but if u insist i say go with the first thing i said n use the mattifier and translucent that way ur face isnt discolored in ur T-zoneSome questions about makeup for oily skin?

Makeup for very pale and oily skin?

I've found that my usual makeup doesn't quite cut it.. I'm very pale (Yay celtic roots!) with dark brown hair and dark blue eyes. I've got mild acne (not the problem here) but my skin can get very oily!!

    I'm looking for-

    x. A decent foundation that covers perfectly and doesn't make me shine (Current one is Boots 17 Balancing- not bad but could be better. 6/10)

    x. A decent concealer that doesn't show up and actually hides dark circles (Current is Rimmel London Clear Complexion- 3/10)

    x. Some tips to make everything look flawless :D As it 'sits' on my skin even when I blend %26gt;:(

    x. A mascara that doesn't smudge under my eyes (I don;t touch my eyes, rub them... I use waterproof AND smudgeproof. Still smudges. Currently on Bourjois Volume Clubbing- 4/10)

I have a pink undertone if thats any help but I don't have any pictures :S

    Any help welcomed!

I think that they sell it in Boots or Superdrug. Its made by the company Jelly Pong Pong, keep an eye out!

    Try Maybelline's waterproof mascara.
dont just cover up the oiliness, try and help it a little, start with a good cleanser, i use dermalogica basic cleanser, its quite expensive but it lasts for ages, and its brillant, i have skin exactly like you =] then apply a toner all over, (again i use dermalogica, but i know garnier do a good one for oily skins) then apply moisturiser to the bits of your face that feel ';tight'; avoid the t-zone thou. i tend to do this at night and then in the morning in the shower i just splash my face with cold water =] try the clarins lightening touch concealer, i think thats what its called, its really good, apply this first, and dab it in with a sponge.im using the revlon makeup for comination skin in shade ';buff'; but maybe you might wanna try ivory? i've heard clinque do good foundations for people with pink undertones, i keep meaning to try them. always apply foundation with your fingers, it really does help to get it looking flawless and helps it become more blendable, start on the t-zone and work your foundation out to your cheeks and blend it into your neck. for the mascara, i have no idea, ive tried everyones brand just about and they're all the same, although i find liquid line does smudge enough =] hope this helped, and if you try nicola roberts stuff let me know how it goes =[
    Hey :D

i am also pale and have oily skin and acne so its really hard to find a foundation which is oil free and pale enough but i found an amazing one and it covers up really well!

u can get it from boots superdrug anywhere that sells revlon really!

and its abotu 11 poundish or mayb 8 :S around that but it is very good!

i use the buff colour but u could ask someone at boots or someone to see which colour suits you the most!

    Hope this helped x
Get some mineral powder make-up, powders work best on oily skin and it covers like nothing else. I don't even use concealer any more since I switched to mineral powders. You could also get a bronzing powder to add a tan, just put the powder on your T-zone (not all over) and remember that less is more with it. As far as mascara, I personally use Maybelline ';define-a-lash';. It works really well, it's waterproof so it doesn't smear, gives good curl and volume and doesn't clump as much as other's I've tried. It's so dark though, I have to wipe the wand off on a tissue before I put it on. Best of all, you can get it anywhere. Using an eyelash curler helps keep my lashes from smearing too. Just hit the curler with your blow dryer for a couple seconds, curl and then apply mascara. Simple, simple.
Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is really good!
go to Lily Lolo online. It is mineral make up and they have the best pale shade of foundation around. I am extremely pale and have been using this for a couple of months now. They also have pale skin concealer that covers very well and even powder which prevents shine and oily skin so perfect for you! The make up doesnt sit on your skin and lasts all day and night. You can buy sample pots at 80p each first to try so thart you dont have to buy the big pot first and find its the wrong shade! (it happens a lot when you are pale!) The best mascara i find is Avon.. i never used to like this brand but it's very good and never smudges.

    OILY SKIN -

is your skin oily? If so, here?s what you can do to combat two of the most common problems that accompany oily skin: pimples, and shine.

If you have oily skin, we have some good news and some bad news for you. First, the bad news. People with oily skin have more of a tendency to develop pimples, blackheads and whiteheads, as you probably already know. In addition, your face starts shining due to the oil, making it look dull and dirty. Now for the good news. The excessive oil keeps your skin more elastic, so you will develop wrinkles at a later age than your friends with dry skin will.

This is a basic guide to what you can do to combat two of the most common problems that accompany oily skin.

    Pimples

One of the most common causes for the formation of pimples is blocked pores. People with oily skin are more likely to have blocked pores, and so, are more likely to have pimples. Your best bet in this case would be simply to wash your face often, with a face wash for oily skin. Clean and Clear by Johnson and Johnson is fairly effective in this regard. How often you should wash your face differs from person to person. A good rule of thumb would be to wash it with a face wash at least 2 times a day ? once in the morning, and once at night, before turning in. If you are in an air-conditioned cabin the entire day, then you need not wash your face more than required, and stick to the once in the morning and once at night rule. If you exercise, whether your face is oily or not, wash your face also as soon as you are done with your workout. Wash it at the gym itself, and don?t wait until you get home, because the perspiration will dry on your face, causing pimples. Similarly, if you travel by public transport and are exposed to a lot of dirt, pollution and warm, humid air, try and wash your face during mid-day as well, bringing it to a total of 3 to 4 times a day. Remember though, if you wash your face more than three times a day, use a gentler face wash like Dove, or wash it just with water.

    Shine

How should you get rid of the shine that accompanies an oily face? The best thing would be to splash water on your face as soon as it starts looking oily, and wipe it gently with a towel or tissue. You could also wash your face with a gentle face wash when it starts looking oily, but, once again, don?t use a face wash more than 4 times a day, as this may cause your skin to produce more oil.

However, washing your face during the day may not be very convenient, since you may not have ready access to a washroom. Or, you may have applied make up, and would not want go through the procedure of re-applying all the make-up after washing your face. In this case, consider simply wiping your face with an absorbent face tissue. Carry tissue with you in your bag at all times ? it always comes in handy.

If you are satisfied with the lack of shine after wiping your face with tissue, great! If not, then consider carrying a compact powder case with you. Dab on the compact powder lightly, making sure it blends well. The compact powder should not be visible as your face will then look caked, and you will look older, and may even look a little haggard. Your compact powder may cause pimples too at times, so if you find your pimples increasing after applying compact, stop using your current brand, and try another brand after a few weeks.

To avoid any problems with compact powder usage, the best thing to do would be to remove the compact powder as soon as you get home with the help of a face wash or a cleanser. Also, never apply old compact powder on your face.

Use oil-free cosmetics as far as possible. Also, apply an oil-free moisturizer even if you have oily skin, as long as your skin is problem free. Although many beauticians feel that moisturizer is a must at all times, I would recommend that you lay off the moisturizer if you have pimples, until your face is clear.
I use a medicated apricot scrub twice a day, in the morning and at night, and it's helped me incredibly!
use garnier which is against oily skin
Do NOT wash your face constantly. That'll make it worse. Instead, buy some Neutrogena oil-free wash cream cleanser (very refreshing) or maybe the new Dove face wash (I've bought it, but I haven't tried it out yet). Wash 2-3 times a day MAX, and if your face feels dry right after you wash, buy some oil-free face cream (Olay scentless is good). As far as getting the excess oil away, buy some Clean and Clear Oil-Removing Sheets or something similar.
Hi! I'll tell u something very easy.Just cut a thin slice of a chilled tomato and rub it gently all over your face.Or u can also apply tomato juice. This will reduce the oiliness, close open pores and even whiten your skin. After 15-20 minutes rinse your face with luke warm water.Repeat twice a day or as required.

i use neutragena as a morning wash..

what should i use as a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer

    please help??!!

    thanks

:]Acne breakouts on dry really oily skin?
First of all stay away from moisturizer. That is going to make your face more oily. When you get the acne under control, then moisturize lightly. I know it sounds girly but Clinique clarifying lotion is awesome. It burns at first but you can see the dirt it removes from your face (even after washing your face in the shower!) That or something a little cheaper and similar is any type of astringent. Definately exfoliate also. Aprictote Exfoliating Scrub by Saint Ives is the best! I know all of this because I had perfect skin and when I moved out (stress) my face went completely down hill. I still get pimples every once in a while but that is life. Here are some personal causes of acne that I found affected me:

    1. Stress/Relationship tension

    2. Too much soda/not enough water

    3. Finding the right face care (listed above)

    4. Nervousness/touching or picking at your face

    5. Bangs/hair in the eyes/face

    6. Wash your pillows and sheets extra-often and use sensitive detergentAcne breakouts on dry really oily skin?

I have the same problem! I also have oily skin and always want to use makeup, even if I don't go out! But what I tend to do is was my face before I put on my foundation (I use liquid with a powder on top) and then use loose powder to suck up and oil throughout the day. Another good thing to use is foundation primer, this usually helps my makeup stay on throughout the day. I used to use Smashbox foundation primer, but it got to expensive so I switched to Avon Magix and believe me, it works! It's also really cheap 10 dollars compared to fifty. Hope this helps! :)Make up help. I have oily skin. and my makeup always runs. i need tips and ideas.?
Your skin produces oil because you are not properly moisturizing. I had oily skin for years until i started cleaning and moisturizing my face. If you give your skin non-oily moisture it will in time stop producing so much.

As far as the makeup you might need to switch to a different foundation.. something lightweight so your skin can breathe better. With the stuff the dr gave you, you should also be adding moisturizer to regulate your skin. It must freak out when you strip it of its natural oils and then let it make its own moisture back.

Once you start doing that you will see a huge improvement.
    Hii dear :)

Well, I honestly have the same problem too..

I have found that using a product from Avon called Magix Face Perfector works really well... it makes your pores shrink and hence minimize the production of oil on your face. I have also tried some foundations. What works well for me is Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse and Maybelline Dream Matte Powder. They blend very easily and soak up al the oils without clogging pores. Also, you can try using oil absorbing sheets. A good one is from Avon called ';Blot away! Oil absorbing sheets';. It works like magic taking away excess oil whilst still leaving your makeup intact and looking flawless :)

Well I hope I've helped and I hope you try it out for yourself and see for yourself the wonders it has done for mee :)
set your makeup with some powder, once youre done applying it all.

or, apply a primer. it helps makeup stay on longer.
for the oily skin, i use oil absorbing sheets. works great and are very cheap. it feels and looks like wax paper and you just blot it over the oliy spots. it doesn't mess up makeup.

    this is what i use:

for breaking out, try using an exfoliant about twice a week. you can use a store brand or an at home remedy. i do both. for the home remedy, mix about 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and little less than 1/4 cup of milk. mix together, rub on and wash off. it leaves my skin super smooth and pretty. it may take awhile to see results, but it works.

    and tastes good, too. ;]

for mascara running, i use a bit of baby powder under my eyes (and it helps conceal my dark circles.)

another tip for oily skin, wash your pillows and its covers about every 2 weeks. plus, if you have bangs, at nighttime, pin them back with bobby pins.

and last but not least, drink plenty of water. this really really helps.

    hope this helps. :]
