I assume you mean your face. Just wash it more often. Try using a toner. This will dry it out some.
An oily skin , as the name implies, is one in which the sebaceous or oil-producing glands are over active. As surface grease tends to attract dirt, an oily skin acquires a dirty surface film , that needs to be removed daily. For more details log to http://useinfo-oilyskin.blogspot.com/

Natural mineral makeup in particular contains skin-enhancing ingredients and is full of vitamins that can actually improve the complexion. Still, there are many mineral makeup brands that can help absorb excess oil and provide a sleek and flawless finish for those with oily skin. If you're looking for a new makeup brand that suits your skin's condition and can actually control shine and breakouts, here are few high quality products and trusted brands to choose from:

L'Oreal Mineral Makeup for Oily Skin

The L'Oreal Bare natural makeup line is a fairly new collection that's available in a variety of shades. It comes with a handy brush applicator that delivers the foundation right from the brush; this means you don't have to purchase brushes separately, and can just put the plastic lid on top after use. The mineral makeup contains SPF 19 sunscreen, and the high concentration of talc easily absorbs excess oil on the skin's surface for a flawless finish.

Youngblood Mineral Makeup for Oily Skin

Youngblood cosmetics are an independent makeup line that specialize in high quality makeup for all skin types. The Natural Mineral Foundation is a great choice for oily skin since its non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), and provides long-lasting coverage for even the most stressful days. The mineral mixture gives off a translucent glow which can be especially beneficial for a dull complexiGood brand of makeup for oily skin?

You can get water based foundation aswell. There is a brand that offers a whole range of 'Pure' make-up. This is best for oily skin and you can get it in most pharmacies.

Hope these help (: x
Josie,

Before any makeup goes on you need to address the oily skin issue. Like you I have oily skin, this is what I use and do: I use Coonobabe's Pepino cleanser, followed by their Manzanillo toner. Wash with cleanser, pat dry with clean towel, then apply toner and allow to air dry. I find that a cleanser/toner combo has the best effect against oily skin. You may need to do this on hot and humid days maybe twice. But it's worth it, I have clean to the touch skin.

Second, if you use foundation I suggest you look at their savila base foundation made specifically for oily skin. If you use blush just use a hint of tint. It's ok to splurge on the lipsticks/glosses, and eyeshadows since you don't get acne in those areas. Note: try their eyeNV, it is excellent. http://www.coonobabe.com

This company is good, they ship 4 free all orders. So I hope this helps you.
im 16 with oily skin and i used to have the same problem. i use revlon colourstay liquid for oily/combination skin. its amazing, it doesnt shine and it stays on for hours. it also has full coverage and isnt cake like. use it with a translucent loose powder over the top to stop it sliding off with oil and coming off during the day.

hope this helps.

Bare Minerals Matte foundation would be great for you! It gives your skin a smooth, matte look and improves your skin.
mineral makeup is good lolz
LA minerals (laminerals.com) %26amp; silk naturals (silknaturals.com)...

Try them both, they have oil controlling powder as well. The samples are like $1 or so and worth every penny if you find something that works. Hope this helps!!!!

If you don't want ';buildable'; coverage (meaning you need to add at least two to three layers (check out youtube applying mineral foundation %26amp; you'll understand what I'm talking about) it is very important to use a dense brush like a flat top kabuki or the mineral brush offered by la minerals... If you love to control your coverage and don't mind layering it on then go for the kabuki and buff away!

I have acne (adult so it's worse) and I was recommended the la minerals, they even have a celebrity face powder that suppose to help but the customer service person told me to wait and see if the mineral foundation does the trick as it cleared her skin without having to add the celebrity face. The prices are great, much cheaper than bm and sheer cover (which didn't work for me AND made me itch... looking back I probably needed to ';build'; the coverage and didn't realize it, but it made me itch like crazy so I stopped using it).

What product will help my oily skin?

have used alot of different face washes i used clear pore, biore, and neutrogenana.but none of them worked for my skin.My toner is burt bee.

Hi Holly,

Try to use a face wash which contains a tree oil. even am having a oily face and I use the same product and it is working out very well for me.

All the best my friend. What product will help my oily skin?
you might be using to much drying products so your face it over compensating.
Believe it or not...treating your oily skin with products that dry the oil up are not what you should be using. Think about this. If you use a product that drys the skin of all its natural oils. Your skin is gonna try to replace those natural oils immediately. For this reason, you need to do the opposite. For years people told me not to use products to dry the oils up and I didn't listen because it didn't make sense to me. Not until I took my daughter to the dermatologist. He explained that when you use products that dry the oil up, your body will automatically start working overtime to replenish those oils. Hence, very oily skin. Now, when you use a moisturizer, like Noxzema for instance, then there is no reason to produce more natural oil. The Noxzema will settle in the pores and the overactive oil glands won't be able to deposit so much oil to your skin. Now having said that. I do want to tell you that I have had extremely oily skin all my life. But last June, when I was in Florida, I was having a pedicure and the woman giving me the pedicure was 20 years older then myself and her skin and looks were incredible. I could not believe her skin or age. I ask what her secret was and she said ';Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)';. Just place a dime size amount in your hand and rub your hands together and spread the oil on your face that way. Make sure your hands are clean and don't scratch or rub your face with your nails and hands. If you have an itch or something, use the back of your hand. I have been using EVOO ever since and my skin is so much better. Believe it or not using oil to help stop oil is better than moisturizers. This woman's skin was beautiful. She uses it everyday all over her body and her skin is georgious. Try it for a day or two and see how you like it. Best of all, it's inexpensive and 100% natural. Hope this helps. Baby Oil is also very good to use.

Whats a good foundation for oily skin with NO acne?

I cant seem to find something right for my skin. Its gets so oily lately and the foundation almost slides around my face, looks too cakey.. or it'll look so shiney. I rarely get a pimple though. I'm in my late 20s and it seems my face has gotten oiler lately.

Any suggestions? i prefer something in a drug store, target, or walmart. Something under $12...Whats a good foundation for oily skin with NO acne?
Neutrogena brand foundations work the best for me.

Wat to do with this oily skin its really irritating in this summer?

use witch hazel occasionally. it looks like rubbing alcohol. put it on cotton pads and wipe ur face. this should keep the pores clean. remember not too often because natural oils are healthy for your skin!Wat to do with this oily skin its really irritating in this summer?
keep on splashing water...and try not 2 use soap more than twice a day, coz soap causes more oil to be secreted...use an astringent or rose water to clean ur face twice a day (cucumber juice is a natural astringent)...keep ur hair and hands off ur face as much as u can help, coz it further aggravates the problem...Wat to do with this oily skin its really irritating in this summer?
Keep it clean, use astringent and light face powder. Be thankful. Oily skin is better than dry skin and less aging.
yes it does i personaly have senstive skin and oily skin
Witch Hazel which is very inexpensive and easily found. Just pour some on a cotton ball and wipe your face down when it starts to feel oily. Also keep tissue to blot if you are some where that you cannot use Witch Hazel.
I use a personalizer from Arbonne. you apply this oil absorbing convenient powder before moisturizer to keep your matte finish intact day or night. Trace minerals from oat and wheat dust off

Also you could wash your face but always remember bathing daily cleanses the skin, but it also can dry it out, causing it to look dull, but most importantly, it may cause irritation and remove the natural emolients your body produces to keep it healthy. Have been hearing different suggestions on foundation for my oily-skin. Some sales assistance suggest me to take the liquid foundation and some suggest me to use 2 way cake...i'm confused!pls help...Any recommendation on foundation for oily-skin?
i dont think you should be using foundation at all! give your skin time to breathe if it is totally necessary to wear foundation then the best think is to get a tinted moisturizer which isn't oil based.Any recommendation on foundation for oily-skin?
I have had oily skin my whole life. After going through product after product including some of the best money can buy, I have been using Bare Escentuals mineral make up for nearly 7 years. I was changing products every year or sooner before that. The mineral product goes on sheer, is light and there are several base colors to choose from. Sephora carries the brand as well as QVC, the bare escentuals website and my local hairdresser supply as well. Hope you like it!
I have oily skin and I use Exuviance. It works quite well for me. I tried Bare Escentuals but it looked awful because it showed my pores really badly. I use to work as a beauty consultant in Ulta and I tries Bare Escentuals on tons of woman and they felt the same way about it. It shows flaws, greatly. If you have a Sephora near you, they will give you free samples to try. Smashbox is good too. Try using a primer as this will help. No foundation is perfect- I have tried lots, I finally settled on Exuviance because it works the best for me with my skin. This was lots of trial and error! When my face gets a little oily, I blot with a rice powder sheet and then smooth out the foundation again. This works well.
Try Bare Escentials. It is a mineral based foundation that is unique. Works on all types of skin.

You can get it at Sephora.com .

It will help keep your skin looking clear as well.
I like revlon colorstay for oily skin. Just make sure u get the right shade since it's kinda thick

wtf?.. she doesnt know what shes doing.. if you have oily skin you should stick to a powder foundation.

Any cure for dry and oily skin at the same time!?!?

It's so annoying! Right now I have been using sephora brand FACE cleanser and moisturizer for oily skin. The problem is my face feels super tight and dry after using and surprisingly enough it still leaves my face oily. Any ideas to try? I also use bare minerals to cover spots on my face.....should I be using something different? Also, my face usually isn't dry, but it has recently gotten colder here so that might be one reason for this sudden dry spell on my face. I just need a product to repair my dry skin and keep off the shine all day!!!Any cure for dry and oily skin at the same time!?!?
I also have combination skin. I've been in and out of the derma for years! Cold weather can exasperate your skin, it's true. No matter what you do, never over-wash, even if you have that urge. Cetaphil is the only thing that ever worked for me because it is mild. I don't trust those ';teenager'; facial wash like neutrogena because they strip the oils off the face, worsening your condition.

A trick is to carry evian with you and spray your face with it every now and then. It's just mineral water....what it does is lock in needed moisture in your skin. When skin is hydrated, it tends to not overproduce sebum (oil). I work from home, and I use a small spray bottle, fill it up with mineral/purified cold water and spray my face with it from time to time...I know that sounds funny method but it works and it's refreshing!Any cure for dry and oily skin at the same time!?!?
Extreme weather affects our skin severely. Drink more liquids not alcohol. Fruit juices and more water a day. If your used to that products then just stay with it. only the weather makes it so dry.
Use a combination cleanser all over and a mosturizer on the dry spots. On the shiny oily areas ONLY, use clean and clear oil absorbing sheets

Good acne treatment for somewhat oily skin?

i had it moderate/sever a couple of years ago, and i was using a lot of different treatments. i have them all on my nose, around my mouth, my chin and my cheeks.

but a couple of months back, i totally stopped all of my acne treatments, and switched to some burt's bees cleansers and the clean and clear persagel. my acne went to mild, and i was happy for a while.

if i got any, i got them on my cheeks, around my mouth, or on my chin.

but recently, as in like last week, it changed.... my ';treatment'; isn't working anymore, and i'm getting them now more than ever. only, not on my cheeks so much anymore, but like crazy on my forehead! i'm not kidding when i say that before now, i've never gotten acne on my forehead!

i've stopped with the persagel since this has happened, but it doesn't seem to help! but the gel only made things worse! someone help?

anyone have any tips of any kind to help? nothing really expensive please.... maybe a home remedy?Good acne treatment for somewhat oily skin?

use benzoyl peroxide and homemade topical niacinamide.

check out http://www.acnetreatmentlab.com for information. they work best when combined because benzoyl peroxide kills the bacteria while niacinamide prevents inflammation and promotes healing.
    use clean and clear
Try this simple remedy. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the acne like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.
Clearpores works best on acne problem. I have used and got some very relevant results.

    http://www.my-acnezine-review.com/clearpores
First of all, no one has flawless skin. Some people have it better than others, but thats just genes and stuff. Go to www.freewebs .com/reelbeauty11 for skin and beauty tips. I know its for young girls, but it works for anyone!

I know some people who have tried ProActive and it worked, but I also know some others who have tried it and it made it worse :( I know some who have put rubbing alchol on their skin or peroxcide to dry up the pimples. It also kills bacteria :) . Also, try going to a dermotoligist, or ask your regular doctor. Often times the regular doctor, who knows more about your med. history and whatnot can help you more than a dermatologist.

are you a vegetarian? That might have something to do with it. Its worth checking into.

Try dabbing toothpaste or honey on your zits before you go to bed - works wonders.

Overall, remember that beauty counts more on the inside than on the outside, and your true friends will love you for you, and not your skin.

Oh, and try a different kind of foundation, if you wear it. Try to use a kind with lots of water in it. It looks great and doesn't clog pores half as bad. And check your habits - do you prop your chin up a lot with your hands? That might cause the acne as well. Look for the cause, as well as the cure.
    This is what I suggest:

Mix baking soda and witch hazel/or water together until it comes to a good constancy, and then spread on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. these two things are very inexpensive and it's very easy to do since there is only two ingredients.

Toothpaste is good for drying out your pimple (for some people). Put only a little bit before you go to sleep. Some people use this as a mask but DON鈥楾 EVER DO THIS! It can change your skin tone and make your face discolored.

Aloe vera helps scars lighten and less noticeable (lemon, cocoa butter, witch hazel, and tea tree oil do the same thing). Use the gel (of the aloe plant) or the real thing.

Try to buy a cleanser that works for you, and when you wash your face, open your pores with hot water (not too hot, or it will dry out your skin) and massage it gently into your skin. Then, use cold water at the end to close you pores. The smaller your pores are, the less likely you're prone to pimples. Clearasil, Neutrogena, and proactive are good choices to start if you want a cleanser. Don't use body soaps because they dry out your skin. Don't scrub too hard either, because it can irritate your skin.

An egg yoke can be used to make you pores smaller. I used this when I had pimples. Just take the egg yolk (the yellow part) and leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water and then splash your face with cold water.

Keep your hair out of your face because the oils in your hair could go into your pores. Change you sheets because they're are trapped with dirt, oils, etc.

Zinc (type of vitamin) is the one of the best things you can use to get rid of pimples. You can buy these almost about any large store (such as Wal-Mart or Shaws.) Have one tablet per day and try to cut down the junk food and replace it with vegetables and fruits. Drink lots of water and don't pop you acne. Popping acne can lead to acne scars.

If you have sensitive skin, don't use make up. Some of the things in make up can clog your pores and cause pimples. Keep your hands out of your face as much as you can because you hands a full of bacteria and oils.
Go to the dermatologist. They will give you RX strength. I hope it works for you.
How long have you been on your Differein, HG?

The reason I ask is that it can take 3 -4 months to help clear your skin of lesions that have not yet surfaced so, while initial breakout is frustrating and will appear to make your acne worse, give your system time to purge itself of what it needs to.

I also see that you've been bouncing from one product to another. Is this PRE Differin or post? I ask because often a patient with go from one skin care system to another only to be constantly frustrated that their skin never seems to clear. In reality, they're never giving their skin a chance to ';catch-up'; as it were. Try only non-comedogenic cleansers and moisturizers such as Cetaphil or Purpose (I personally recommend Cetaphil) - especially for sensative skin.

It is recommended that patients steer clear of any Retin A or Benzoyl Peroxide products while you're using Differin so check your products.

Here's a couple of websites that might be helpful:

That's good that you are seeing a dermatologist.

I suffered with mild acne when i was 11 and it gradually got worseover the years. Whilst i was at college i had servere acne and was diagnosed by my dermatologist as having cystic acne, the worst kind. I had no confidence although i was doing a drama BTEC! i felt ugly and worthless. I tried everything but it didn't work. So my specialist put me on a drug called Roaccutane. 'WHAT A MIRACLE' well it was in my experience. There are side effects which you need to read before going on the treatment. I suffered with extremelly dry and flaky skin, this is because the drug reduces the amount of oil you produce. This goes back to normal once treatment finishes. I was also quite stiff as i did alot of dancing so i had to be careful i didn't pull any muscles. I use to wake up with dry gungy eyes in which i needed to bathe and very sore cracked lips. I know this doesn't sound nice, but the treatment worked. I am now 25 and have been free of cystic acne since taking the drug, i am confident and now like the way i look, i actually think i am a really pretty girl now. I am also pursuing a successful career as an actress. Hope this helps, it did for me. Good luck
if you want something form a drugstore buy clean and clear control cleanser with the clean and clear advantage oil-free moisturizer. since you have oily skin use both in the morning and at night. dont use bad makeup! for oily skin use powder. liquid foundation and oily skin just dont work well together. an awesome powder is physicians formula mineral loose powder. it soaks up unwanted oil and helps sensitive and acne prone skin. another thing you can do with any kind of skin type is go with all natural cleansers. try zyporex, its all natural and just for acne. it gives you a really clean feeling. natural can be the best thing because it doesnt contain harsh chemicals that can irritate your face rather than help.
well hopefully your dermatologist figures out something quick

    hopefully you eat healthy

that could be a huge factor

    good luck

Is it good to have oily skin?

okay so i have oily skin. and at first i tried everything possible to get rid of it. i even stopped putting moisturizer on because i didnt want anymore blackheads. and then my skin would get so dry and produce more oil. so that didnt work out. well anyways ive been wasting a bunch of money trying to find the perfect moisturizer and whether they are oil free or not, they all do the same thing. and i dont have horrible acne or anything just blackheads cuz i do tend to touch my face alot. but is it really that bad to have oily skin?Is it good to have oily skin?
You can get your oily skin under control. Using harsh cleansers will strip your skin of its natural oil, to compensate, your skin will produce more oil!

Get hold of a gentle cleanser. Keep a warm face cloth on your face to create steam for a few second, repeat if necessary. The face cloth will also act as a peeling.

Follow with a natural toner (alcohol free), Orange blossom is good for oily skin.

Then use a light moisturizer. Moisturing is important even for oily skin. Don't forget to use a face mask once to twice a week. A simple face mask I use with great results is bentonite clay or rasshoul clay with water.

It's very important to keep your hands off your face. They can be full of bacterias. Is it good to have oily skin?
i think its a burden personally

and you cant get rid of oily skin its a genetic thing that usually you will just have to live with

you should wash your face often and use astringent instead of a moisturizer
no one wants oily skin.. stop touching your face and it'll help! and get clean n clear oil absorbing sheets
i don't think so because then u get alot of pimples

  • SICK TO DEATH OF ANNOYING OILY SKIN.?

Hi, right. I have stupid, oily skin and it really gets to me. I know I'm only a 17 year old guy, but I have the right to be spot free, no matter how old I am, right?

In the morning, I wash my face with a foaming tea tree face wash, then I apply Clean and Clear toner, and then I use either OXY anti-spot lotion moisturiser, or Nivea Pure and Matte Moistriser.

Then at about 11 o clock to 1130 I will wipe my face with a tea tree face wipe, and apply the moisturiser again , and I may do the same thing at about 2.

Then I scrub my face roughly twice a week and obviously wash it again with the same tea tree foam thing at night.

I am absolutely, sick to the back teeth of having to do this just to keep my oily skin at bay. I feel dirty, paranoid and depressed because of it, and I don't know what to do :(

Please, someone, give me some advice; I don't have an endless cashflow btw :/ xSICK TO DEATH OF ANNOYING OILY SKIN.?
Try washing only at night and mroning since you may be over doing it. try for about a week and you may have your reason.

With my make up I use foundation powder thing which keeps it shine free all day but since your a guy your porbaly not keen on using make up.

Try exfoliating every other day, see if that helps, I did that and it seemed to help a bit. Maybe a healthier diet might help, more water, less junk and so on, Maybe tea tree isn't helping. Have you tryed other products?

The nivea young range is my overall favourite. I think you already use the moisturiser, try the daily face scrub and toner, I find they work best together, Also, st Ives face scrub works well for the exfoliator.

Also, clean and clear are quite good, again, best when they are used together, and the spot treatment gel does wonders on spots, nearly get rid of them in a few hours and stops new one forming. Just put it over where a new one is coming through.

Maybe see a dermantolgist too, and get some medication for it. A guy I know had terribel acne, his entire face was covered and within six weeks of medication and cream it was clear.

Hope I helped. =]SICK TO DEATH OF ANNOYING OILY SKIN.?
ok well your body makes the oils because you RE MAKING IT TOO DRY ADN IT IS JUST RETALIATING,wat u should do is wash ur face with a gental cleanser, then a oner is good and then get olay all day mosisture, the key is moisturizer, the more u use,the less oils your body will need to produce to counter effect the drying
some ppl may think youre doing too much to your skin and thats causing it to over produce the oil so maybe try not doing so much to it...i have the same problem.....i hate my oily skin

Is baking soda good for oily skin?

ok well i have really oily skin and someone said use sugar nd i dont think that will help and i read online using baking soda is a good way to help ur skin my acne is getting outta control and i tried using alchol and its not workin at all just making it worse!!!! so which is better baking soda or sugar?? and how would i apply it to my faceIs baking soda good for oily skin?
i wouldn't use baking soda or sugar either... go to a dermatologist. you don't have to go on accutane- there's definately other stuff out there thats less potentIs baking soda good for oily skin?
AHH if you have acne you should go to your doctor and ask for accutane. It will cost money and you will need blood work done to see if you can take it but its the best thing for acne. Baking soda isnt going to get rid of your acne, acne is genetic its not caused by oily skin.

Cetephil is a great moisturizer. Neutrogena is also pretty good, but the best face wash

ST.Ives Apricot Scrub for Oily/ Combination Skin

It is FABULOUS. BEST I have tried and I have tried A LOT of products because I am obsessed with my face. The whole ST.Ives line is great - their mask is awesome as well as the moisturizer.

It is also cheap - you can get it just at your drugstore for about $6. I would strongly recommend you purchasing their scrub. My face is just like yours - extremely dry skin around my mouth - very flaky and disgusting, but yet a really oily t-zone. Their scrub fixed this and their moisturizer stopped my skin from flaking.

The other great moisturizer - vaseline - just a little around your mouth over the moisturizer before you go to sleep is perfect.Which is better for oily/dry skin?
Aveeno %26amp; neutrogeena if you're on an ';okay'; budget.
I would use an aveeno wash its the best! then go for an exfoliator of some sort to even out your color.

How to get rid of oily skin?

I've tried LOTS of product to get rid of my acne! I've tried Proactiv, Clean%26amp;Clear, Neutrogena 3 step system, and lots more. Now I'm trying AcneFree and it's week 4. If it does not working within a month, then I will stop using it. I have oily skin. My sister says that you can't get rid of oily skin, you can only decrease the oiliness. Is that true? Does Neutrogena oil free combination skin work? It says it help control oily area. Will it work? Please help. How to get rid of oily skin?
This is a more common problem for women with dark hair. It's true that you cannot change the physiology of your skin, however there is some good news and things you can do with it. Oily skin is problematic when you're young, but as you get older, you'll likely look younger than others your age, because of your oilier skin, as we produce less oil with age and therefore experience more dryness, causing wrinkles.

Right now, you'll want to control the accumulation of oil on the surface of your skin. You said you've tried Proactiv, but have you tried the oil control lotion? It's very good. The proactive line also has blotting papers which suck the oil from your skin, giving it a more matt finish. You can keep them in your purse or pocket and blot as you need them. Then apply a blotting powder or translucent powder to soak up any oil until your next blot. By using an oil control product (the Neutrogena is good too), combined with these will be your quickest and most effective solution. It's important to blot before you powder or your skin will collect too much powder and look chalky. Good luck. How to get rid of oily skin?
Be mindful, too, that some products can actually increase oil production as the glands get irritated and out of whack. Some soaps can cause breakouts.

Carbolic soap I think is pretty good--usually in with the natural products.

maybe give the skin a rest for a while to let it re-balance, and use those blotter papers--they really work to absorb excess oil (I think Body shop sells them still?)

What a pain! I bet anything it will change as you get older
instead of buying blotting papers you can just go into the bathroom and use those paper liners that you put on the toilet and blot your face it works great to get the oil off your face its the same as blotting papers and you can just take a bunch of those from the bathroom and cut them up into squares and keep them in your purse so you can use them whenever you need them. it sounds weird but its the same material at blotting papers and its free!
It can take a long time to beat acne. Keep using AcneFree - it might take 2 or 3 months to really have an effect. And wash your face two or three times a day (with a gentle cleanser if the AcneFree isn't supposed to be used that much). Go to a dermatologist. They have different treatment options that can help you.
yeah sadly you cant get rid of oily skin it sucks!! i have that really bad and i use that nutregena combination skin stuf and i personally REALLY like it!!! my skin does get a little shine at night but theres nothing you can do about that it just happens but its not the greasy shine.
Your sister is right. You cannot get rid of oily skin. Try washing your face with Cetaphil. It works like a charm! It removes all the oil! Also, blotting sheets work as well! Try getting both. They remove the excess oil.

    Hope that helped!

I tried everything to get rid of my ance! Presciption drugs and creams, nothing worked.

    My naturopath recommended this regime:

Cleanse with a non-soap cleanser (like Spectra Gel) twice daily

Take 6 capsules of Nettle and 1 B5 vitamin tablet a day - this combination stops breakouts and actually makes skin less oily!! Plus it's cheap and easy to find.

It has worked for me, I hope it works for you!
do not use anything that is scented! that's the first rule. second, use cleansers with benzoyl peroxide. Try using the ';Oxy'; wash. use the 10% benzoyl peroxide. if that's too strong then use the 5% wash. It works really well. Use an oil free and non-comedogenic moisturizer. Make sure the bottle says both Oil Free and Non-Comedogenic. ';Cetaphil'; is a good brand for both face wash and moisturizer.

During the day, keep your hands off your face. Do not pick or pop your pimples or scabs. It could cause scarring. Drink lots of water. And definitely ask your dermatologist what they suggest for washes and creams, but what I told you is exactly what my dermatologist told me.

    good luck :)
OMG ok so wash your face witha scrub apricot scrub by st ives then but put lotion then use stridex pads youll see a difference the next day it work for me Sooooooo well :D

LONG ANSWER...TRYING TO COVER ALL I KNOW ABOUT ACNE/SPOT PROBLEMS FROM MY OWN EXPERIENCE...SO HOPEFULLY THERE'LL BE SOMETHING HERE TO HELP!!!

I'm 35 and I still get spots/pimple clusters from time to time and even when they go, they leave reddish marks for ages and my skin looks blotchy.

I use clean and clear or neutrogena clear skin - both contain salicylic acid which prevents breakouts and gradually evens the skin tone out too.

Any female with spots I'd recommend trying dianette or yasmin contraceptive pills because if it's hormonal, that can sort out the kind of hormonal pimples you might get monthly!

Also I'd recommend taking a 100% multi vitamin/mineral complex and Omega 369 oils every day because that ensures you're getting the right nutrition and also, the omega oils improve blood flow.

Also...keep your hydration right by drinking plenty of water, avoiding caffeine and alcohol and too much salt!

Another suggestion is the scrub you can get called 'resurface' or something like that - made by L'oreal. You only use it a couple of times a week (and use at night because it makes your face red!). It really works not just with the colouring but also the texture - smoothes it back out. It comes with it's own moisturiser which I don't use but I use the scrub at night a couple of times a week and put bio oil on which it supposed to help clear scarring and even skin tone.

And my final suggestion is 'sheer cover' mineral foundation. You see it on infomercials a lot...tacky I know! But it really works. You can buy it on eBay too so it's easy for you to get some to try it out. You use the tiniest amount but because it doesn't settle into enlarged pores and it contains minerals that reflect light, it disguises any kind of 'scarring' and also it stops you getting spots because it doesn't block pores. The minerals in it reflect light a bit too which acts as a kind of concealer. It's hard to explain but it's fantastic. Just make sure not to use too much - and apply with a kabuki brush starting from the outside and working in so you don't end up with an over made up nose!

I know people say make up's a no no - but because this doesn't block pores and has the added effect of stopping you touching your face too much, I think it's good. You can wear it on its own too and as long as you apply it minimally, it covers but doesn't look like you've got make up on.

Good luck with it hun XX

PS - if you can get them, clean %26amp; clear do these blotting paper things - in the uk I find I have to order them in from Hong Kong or somewhere cos they stopped doing them here - but they're good. And if your face gets really greasy, just blot with a tissue if you can't find those. Some tissues are to fluffy so I tend to carry around a few sheets of kitchen roll for the purpose!!!
well i had the same problem.

A good way to remove them is by first wash your face and then apply a small amount of scrub and massage gently (avoiding eye aria) and rinse it then with clean hands squeeze the blackheads till your face is clean (you will feel pain a little bit) and then wash your face with water only. if you have mask for oily skin apply it for 20 to 30 minutes and then rinse it .

when your putting makeup don't forget the powder because it absorbs the oil from the skin. Hope I helped :)
There are so many natural home made recipes are there which can remove all the blackheads and can solve the oily skin problem. One is apply sandalwood paste daily on your face at bed time, after washing your face with hot water. Leave it overnight and wash with lukewarm water in the morning. It will clear the blackheads and relief in the oily skin problem.

Olay may or may not help your pimple problem. Oil in the pours is usually the culprit of pimples.

Try proactive for help with them.

http://www.proactive.comI have an oily skin, rough, and prone to acne vulgares,i want to use olay total effects,is it okay?
You should wash your face in a face wash with salicylic acid in it. I think Phisoderm is a good one.

If you must moisturize, you should use cetaphil over the counter.

I strongly believe you should not use olay. Its intended for dry skin, not acne prone skin.
The best thing to do for oily skin, is to spray it or apply a water based lotion -- not an oil based one! The oil based lotion will just make your skin incredibly oily. The problem that is causing the oil, and I know because I had a HUGE ISSUE WITH IT IN THE PAST, is your skin is parched and is trying to wet or oil itself. The only way to stop that is to hydrate it. Murad had a great water based product, and you can also get nutrogena, etc. -- make sure it is non oily and the first ingredient is water. Some even have spray on nutrition. Also take B5 daily, which helps oily skin. You don't want to try and dry out your skin or you will get wrinkly, you just want to help your skin hydrate so it doesnt have to express the oil to do so. It works, I used to have an oily face and now its not oily or dry at all. And these same treatments keep down the breakouts, since all that oil and grease on your face clogs pores and causes acne. Good luck!!

Does exercising help with acne/oily skin?

any other tips that most houses haveIs baking soda good for oily skin(stridex cetaphil and alchol wont work)?
Are you talking about scrubbing your face with it? If so, out of the two I prefer sugar. My favorite is crushed up Aspirin (not the color coated kind). But those will just help you stop breaking out they won't help oily skin.Is baking soda good for oily skin(stridex cetaphil and alchol wont work)?
I've been using it for a couple of days.

Get a small cup and fill it half way up with backing soda and add water, if it's runy, it won't work so dump some water off.

    Sugar softens.

Get any type of sugar/salt that is crystal (NOT POWDER) and scrub it onto your face, it gets 'rid of dead skin cells.
my mom recommends salt.....use warm water and melt salt and use that to wash your face twice daily, sorry dont know much about baking soda....
yes it does help i use it for acne and my oily back and it helps alot i barley have any now
never heared of this sugar and/or baking soda things for your face. sounds like your cooking? hmmm...

well, first thing that i can tell you is to see a dermatologist. if you think your breakouts are getting worst, pls do make an appointment to get help. trying to do things and your own will only make things worst.

used to have lots of pimples too. but now im all better. im using this:

    Clindamycin Phosphate topical gel, 1%

    and

    Tretinoin Cream, 0.025%

use it twice a day. morning and night. of course with your face cleaned. use sunblock.

this will help clear your pimples.

about your oily skin, i guess you just have to keep yourself clean, avoid unhealthy foods such as jankfoods and other greasy foods.

watch what your eating and your skin will follow.

best thing to do when things ddnt get any better:

    SEE A DERMATOLOGIST.

What base to use for oily skin?

    Hi

I hav a super oily skin. My friends wedding is near and I need to know which base to use for my skin?

My face tends to become oily very soon.

I want a a very simply look like... only a base, eyeliner, kajal, lipgloss.

Now I don knw which base to use which gives a neat n oil free look.

Someone told me to buy Mac-Two way kit I(No. 2). I dont knw what is tht? if someone know's pls tel. Moreover should i buy No.1 two way kit of mac instead of No.1 because when i apply facepowder/foundation it tends to look darker in color than it is in actual. I am quite fair but after applyin foundation/powder i tend to look dark. so pls tel should i buy a little more lighter color than my skin tone??

waitin for replies. Pls reply asap. ThnxWhat base to use for oily skin?
u should use lacto calamine as make up base and after it u should apply a lighter shade face powder. What base to use for oily skin?
I have oily skin too, especially in the t-zone area. I use Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. I use the clear kind and I wear it alone or under my foundation.
if u have oily skin...pleeaassee dont use MAC!! it clogs the pores and leads fo break outs...i was in the same predicament as u and mac left my skin looking horrible...its too heavy thats why it looks darker. ive started using bare minerals!! they have various shades
for oily skin i would suggest.... keep ur skin clean i mean wash your face as many time as possible in a day, use face wash rather using shop. For parties use revolon foundation powder it give you very simple natural look with oily free skin
revlon combination foundation it's great for oily skin.
    Try Bare Escentuals.
Wshat are do you live its easier to show you at the counter or store, but i worked for clinique, and lancome, if you do not mind spending the money the reason why you look darker with the powder on top it is the wrong color powder is sup to be used only to finish the look and make it last any true professional will tell you this and not lie, you can go to the counter and test your foundation ( which may be the wrong color to) and anyone in the business knows that when you test and apply the powder it should not change the look, because after powder sets in your naturalh oils make it darker anyway that is sup to happen and is normal, that is why you scrape your powder compact every now and then to get the true color and use out of it. clinique also sells a foundation for oikl control and they design it to have a powder to match it or go one shade light (in the same family ie, nuetral , pink, olive you cannot mix a pink foundation with nuetral powder you will have a bad result.
your makeup or foundation will darken over time because of the acidity of your face. this is my exact same problem which is why i've switched to mineral makeup to keep the oil, especially on my nose at bay. mineral makeup has kaolin clay to absorb oil, and mineral veil either have cornstarch, pearl powders or silk powder not only to absorb that oil but to give you an airbrushed illuminated look.

i agree with one of the answers that suggested revlon's colorstay liquid foundation with softflex SPF6 for oily combination skin. it has better ratings on makeupalley.com than even the foundations from bobbi brown and MAC, and revlon is less expensive than MAC.

so for your even i suggest to use the revlon's liquid foundation in a shade lighter than your own so that when it does react with your acidity it will just bring the shade down to your real one. also revlon's shades are geared to lighter skin tones so you won't have a problem there either. use that and set your foundation with mineral makeup either a mineral veil or mineral foundation not only to set your foundation but to give extra oil absorbtion (it's what i do)

    hope this helps.

  • Liquid foundation for acne prone/oily skin?

Ok, so I have been a bare minerals user for over 5 years.

    I am 16.

Please don't give me crap about the fact that I started wearing foundation at 10.

I have severe acne ever since I was 9 and got tired of looking at it so I decided I needed some foundation.

I am getting very tired of my bareminerals because I do have to reapply after PE and everthing like that.

My skin is extremely red ALL THE TIME.

It is very sensitive to the sun because I am on menocycline and tretinoin for my acne.

My skin is clearing up, which is very good :) but I still am looking for a good foundation.

I have extremely oily skin, and I have acne all along my T zone.

My current face routine consists of:

    - Neutrgoena oil free SPF 45 sunblock

    - revlon colorstay blemish concealer

    - bare minerals foundation in light and medium beige, I mix them

    - mineral veil

    - Blush

    - Bronzer

I do keep my makeup looking natural so don't freak that i wear too much because I honestly don't.

I let my natural skin show, but it does embaress me.

I have a lot of issues with my appearance because my skin is so bad.

I love myself, don't get me wrong I am not some girl who puts herself down all the time, I just will NOT leave the house unless I have foundation on.

Anyways, I was looking to try a good liquid foundation.

Just to try but I still don't want to waste my money.

I need something that will last through my school day which is usually from about 7:00 - 5:30 and something that won't melt off during my hour and a half of PE.

I was looking into two options so far...

The Rimmel London stay matte foundation with skinpure complex (salicylic acid for my acne)

and also the Revlon Colorstay Foundation for oily/combo skin.

    Idk, any thoughts, options?

    Recomendations?

I was thinking about just mixing my foundation in with my moisturizer because I don't want it to look too cakey; I see girls walking around all the time that look so fake its ridicuous.

Anyways, I am looking for something that won't really break me out, that will last all day, and isn't too cakey that will look natural and stay matte for most of the day.

    I am a makeup addict.

So don't be afraid to tell me about different MAC brushes you recomend or stuff like that, if you think I should stipple with the 187 or blend with the 109, if you think I need a face primer like Photofinish Light anything, just give me advice, please, I need it!

    Haha, liquid foundation intimidates me!

Thanks.Liquid foundation for acne prone/oily skin?
For lasting coverage I use Merle Norman foundation.

how about u try to get rid of the acne buy drinks lots and lots

of water and eating healthy! =DD this works for mee and i have kinda bad acne too..if u put liquid foundation or powder or anything like that it makes ur acne worse and then it later becomes a acne scar that will NEVER go away..
Clinique is exotic for oily skin. their matte finish foundation is perfecto and their shades are also very wide. from lightest to the darkest. not only Clinique, u may try other foundations which has anti shine @ matte skin quote on their label.
    My sister uses clinique.

All I know is that their long-wear mascara is insanely good. But... other than that I don't really know, I don't wear makeup. But she has oily/combo skin and she likes clinique a lot.
Okay, First of all, Bare Minerals will kill you skin!

I used to have acne that wasn't really bad but when I started using Bare Minerals, My acne got soo worse, I started getting these bigg nodules under the skin and milia. Then I went to my dermatologist and she told me that bare minerals has a ingredient called Bismuth in there which makes your skin irritated and makes your acne more worse. My Dermatologist had to put me on Retin-A and Benzoyl Peroxide. Now my Acne is gone. But Anyways, a good foundation would be from Clinique. I'm currently using their new foundation called ''Even Better'' and I'm setting it with a MAC Pro item called MAC Invisible Set Powder.

But make sure you have a really good Skin Care Regimen because you are using makeup. When you don't wash off all your makeup before going to bed, the makeup sinks into your pores and it starts to eat your pores and making it more bigger.

    So I recommend :

    Morning:

    Cleanse with a gentle cleanser.

Then apply Benzoyl peroxide all over your T-zone.

Use a moisturizer with sunscreen in it and make sure its for Oily/Combo skin.

    Night:

Use Pre-moisten Makeup towelettes to remove all your makeup.

Then Cleanse with your gentle cleanser.

Apply Benzoyl Peroxide all over your T-zone.

Then apply the same moisturizer at night too.

Oh and by the way, make sure you get plenty of fluids like water and plenty of rest. Also eat plenty of veggies and fruits. This really helps. =)

    Good Luck! =)

    Help with acne/oily skin! I'm only 13!?

Hi! You know you are tired of this theme. Acne/oily skin. IM TIRED! I really DON'T have big bumps and inflammatory acne but I still have oily skin with little blemishes. I've already tries STUPID PROACTIV. LAME. I'm currently using EFFACLAR by LA ROCHE POSAY. I really wanna know some place or something to help me cure this problem. Something not too weird please! But that has worked. I don't mind if it is expensive products. Better if they are. I was checking on Dior, Chanel, YSL and others but what do you recommend me, have you tried them. Please, I'm F*CKIN

    DESPERATE and I'm 13!

    Thanks,

    P.Help with acne/oily skin! I'm only 13!?
Well, the one I use is called AcneFree, and it works pretty good, and it's really cheap. It's around $20.

My friends use SkiniD from Neutrogena, and you take a quiz and they give you three personalized products to use, it's at www.skinid.com

Hope this helped :D%26lt;3.Help with acne/oily skin! I'm only 13!?
At your next doctor appointment ask if your doc can perscribed something. You won't get any progress from store bought things. Acne no matter how mild is a medical condition. And your doctor is the only one who can help you. Ask about Duac. My doctor perscribed it to me a week ago and I'm already getting great results. It's a wash and a gel. They contain benzoil peroxide, and clindomyocin. And when those two things are put together they work good
this is what me and my older brother do. (daily)

1.(before showering) apply the clearasil ULTRA pads then put on some Noxzema clear cleanser. wait a while go into shower and clean off.

2.(after shower) apply another clearasil ultra pad.

this has reduced my oily skin and acne.

    hoped this helped :)
    Find these three products.

    1. A cleanser that contains benzoyl peroxide.

    2. A moisturizer that contains salicyc acid.

    3. A spot gel that contains salicyc acid or benzoyl peroxide.

    optional

    4. An alcohol free toner to control your oil and refresh your skin. Neutrogena has a great alcohol free toner.

    5. A facial scrub: use once a week.

And finally, experiment. Try different things and see what works and what doesn't.

    Good luck.

    - I get those too just keep your hair clean and don't let it get too oily.

3.How can I get rid of these little bumps around my nose. They look sorta like this but only on the sides of my nose.

4.And how can I get my skin one even skin tone. I heard I can use a lemon well can I substitute that with a lime?

    - I've used lemon but i mix it with sea salt and make a scrub.

Just rub it on your face gently then wash it off.

    * I know you said you wanted to use home remedies but I was the same way because I didn't want harsh chemicals or anything. But I found this product that is 100% natural and since I've used it I don't get pimples at all! It evens your skin tone, takes those bumps off your nose and even takes away those pimples near your hair line. It's not expensive at all. You can get it a trader joe's for $4 or even at Stop %26amp; Shop! YOU HAVE TO TRY IT! here's a link but you can use the home remedies but they won't work as good. They are facial cleansing pads with tea tree oil, lemongrass, witch hazel, ginger and other natural ingredients. They are made by desert essence!

http://www.desertessence.com/skin-care/n鈥?/a> *Skincare questions for oily skin?
I really dont know the answer to all of these questions.

But, for acne i use Clinique 3 step acne solutions.

It definetly helps. I mean, its pricey. But it works like a charm.

It leaves skin feeling smooth and soft. And you do it twice a day (mornings and nights) The smaller bottles are $32 and the large bottles are $59

But, thats really all i can help with. And to get rid of acne scars, maybe go to the drub store, and look for and cream that after time removes scars. I've seen it before. But i havent bought it.

Sorry i couldnt answer all of them, i hope i helped a little bit though.

    :D
A natural home remedy that you can use to control oily skin is use an egg to make egg mask facial. Go on youtube an type in michellephan egg mask facial for you can learn how to.
I also have this problem that troubles me the most.

Especially even you wear make up it will turn bad towards the end of the day.

I learnt it somewhere and summaried everything here.

No Joke lol i just applied this:

    Mixture of

eggwhite (tighten spore thus less oily, PLUS blackhead will come out very nicely)

lemon (not too much bcos it has very low ph which may hurt yr skin)

    honey (moisturise skin)

starch powder (hold all of the ingredient)

You could really try this out, i swear that i have been doing this for the 3 days. IN FACT the effect is immediate.

I did it 3 days cos i just love the feeling of clean and fresh face.

Furthermore if you got surplus you could keep it in freezer..Also it's all natural and cheap ;)

Really hope it would work for you..cos i know whre you are coming from..

I only know of 1 item to help reduce oil. It's the oil blotting tissues by the dermatologists that I rep for. It will decrease your oil products by 18% and you can blot your face throughout the day with them to keep it looking fresh. They are medicated and that's what makes them different. You can email me if you want more information. My 14 year old son is obsessed with them :-)How to get rid of oily skin!!!! and how long will it take to rid of?!!!?
Unfortunately, oily skin is just a part of her genetics, or puberty. Either way, you can't especially get rid of it. You can wash your face to help clear away some shine, or use the oil pads that they sell in some stores. I have oily skin, and you have to learn to live with it. I like mine though, it makes me look like I'm glowing!
unless you plan to actually flay your skin and remove it, there's no way to get rid of oily skin--you can however, control oily skin by keeping it clean and dry by washing regularly and using a drying agent. good luck

Look for oil blotching sheets, you could probably find them at target, a drug store, or any grocery store really. I can't think of the name but one good brand is in a blue box. Any should work better than nothing though. Just blot your face with them and it should absorb all the oil off, if you have as oily skin as you say you may have to do it a few times a day but the packets are so little they fit in your pocket :)

I hope it helps you!How to Get Rid of Oily Skin?
I had really oily skin until I started using a moisturizer every day. I use the Burt's Bees ageless line, as it is all natural, and I don't have to use chemicals on my face. During the day, I use the Burt's Bees loose powder.

Using so much scrub might contribute to your problem, as it strips your skin of moisture, forcing your skin to produce more as it tries to self balance. A more gentle soap might help.
water will make your skim more oily but it will also keep it from storing toxins other the surface. wash you face twice daily or whenever really oily. simply splashing with cool to luke warm water will work. pat dry and don't moisturize. it will make the skim oily all over again
I believe its clearasil that has those oil sheets that you can carry with you, they absorb All your oil from your skin. They work really well,i have the same problem

1st drink lots of water and watch the amount of fried and greasy foods u eat...2nd use facial products specifically for oily skin types...i don't suggest getting the cheapest one...don't be afraid to spend some money for ur health....carry oil blotters for touch ups
    um no use

Drink plenty of water, stay away from chocolate, peanuts, ETC junk...

%26amp; Read your make up carefully, that also causes oily skin.
try buying an oil blotter...clean and clear also have an oil blotter product... or just put powder on ur face every time u fell its oily...hope i helped...
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem dot com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.

Im black and i have oily skin..?

and im young 14 and this year i just been gettin alot of bumps on my face. idk if its from bugs or flys. my face keeps getting darker?

i look different then the way im suposed to look?

and my face keeps gettin oiler. my parents always say i dont wash my face good but i do..

and i broke my nose so its pointt and crooked.. does that have any effect on the skin around it? strecthing it?

i use dove shop and clean and clear morning burst shine control.

can yall help me with some tipsIm black and i have oily skin..?
You should use face wash like ponds, jhonson etc. And try to avoid light of sun as much as possible. Right?Im black and i have oily skin..?
If you drink soda or alcohol, you should get rid of it. These are the main causes for your oily skin and the spots that are called acne.

Wash your face roughly with a wash cloth, then rinse your face with clean water, then use the other side of the cloth to get rid of the extra skin that you missed. This will make your skin smooth and clean!

Then I would recommend using shea or cocoa butters that you can buy from Walmart. They help to relax the skin and reduce acne. Try it and good luck! ^_^
Instead of FACE WASH just apply a mixture of basin and yogurt for 15min then wash.. U'll see the effect in just couple of wks.

  • Will dermatologists prescribe stuff for oily skin?

Well...To start, my skin is very oily. About an hour after I wash my face it has excessive oil on it. Trust me, I've tried over 20 different face washes and I've tried clean and clear oil pads (Those take away oil for what, 20 minutes?) and almost any home remedy you can think of...but still no good results. I've been to the dermatologist before and got differin gel and some other gel to use at night for my acne, but will they prescribe something to help with oil?

I'm only 15 years old, I hope this is just because I'm a teen. =[Will dermatologists prescribe stuff for oily skin?
    yes

    im sure they will

    if you describe your

    situation with them.

good luck! Will dermatologists prescribe stuff for oily skin?
I can't say whether the stuff prescribed by a dermatologist for oily skin work or not. But I am dead sure that stuff from zenmed would work in giving you an oil free experience through out the day. I would recommend the use of zenmed's gentle cleansing cream. From my experience I find it to be a great product that helps to control the oil, that often plays a vital role where acne is concerned. So what you get is clear and soothing skin without it looking too oily or dry. Use it twice a day for best results.
Have you tried Proactive? You can buy it in the mall and it does wonders. Dries my face right out. Call your dermatologist and ask them what you should do. Ask them about Proactive!
Proactiv has a daily oil control, I have desert skin in the winter and vaseline skin in the summer, the proactiv stuff helps tremendously

Are there pills that stop oily skin?

Ok, I had acne for like 4 years. I was too lazy to go to the derm and finally went after like 4 yrs. I got Doxycline Monohydrate and it stopped my breakouts. Now I still have tattered skin, discoloration and really oily skin. I hate using creams cuz they dont actually stop the production of oily skin, irritate me, and make me look even glossier. IS THERE ANY PILL THAT COULD STOP OILY SKIN??? my derm says he doesnt know of any (liar). in addition the oily skin makes my skin much darker than it is for some reason. when i get out of the shower its fresh but in like 30 minutes it darkens up like a *****. how do i stop oily skin? Are there pills that stop oily skin?
Yes there are! First option (this is only prescribed for girls) is spironolactone. It blocks testosterone receptors in your skin, so oil production is decreased.

Second option, (for anyone) is accutane. It is a pretty serious drug, but it works for nearly everyone. I am actually starting this treatment in a few days. It is basically a high dose of Vitamin A. It dries out your skin and changes the sebaceous glands in your skin so eventually they don't produce as much oil. It helps with acne by decreasing oil production. Best of all, it's permanent. You're on it for a few months and then acne free for life! You will have dry skin and dry lips while on it, and they require blood tests and pregnancy tests before you start. I hope it's worth it for me!

How do i control my oily skin!?

how do i control my skin and make it less oily!? ive have acne since i was like 10 or 11 (i know acne at 10 seems impossible but let me tell you, its not!). Anyways im 13 now and of course, i still have acne, but for the past year ive had really oily skin!

ive been to a dermatologist and did exactly what they said for like 6 or 7 months and it worked at first but soon enough, my face kept breaking out and it was very oily again. im going to another dermatologist in a few weeks so hopefully that will help!

im currently using this ';acnefree'; kit until my dermatologist appointment so please dont recommend a product to me because changing products that much will just make my skin worse!

but anyways how do i get my skin to be less oily!? i use those oil blotters but in about an hour my face goes right back to normal and its really annoying! any home remedies or just ANY ideas to make my skin less oily would be appreciated!

I tried other acne products from this brand and they work pretty well.

Whats the best product for oily skin and stops breakout and gets rid of blemishes?

Im 21 and never had acne before and i still don't i get the occasional pimple but i do have oily skin and im starting to break out like not into pimples well not that many but just random bumps like my face is irritated. I also wear allot of makeup to hide my blemishes n scars and im looking for a face wash or a routine or something to get a deep clean get rid of blemishes and keep my face from being so oily so far i ave try ed

    1. Clean%26amp;clear morning burst (the Orange one not the green one)

this worked for making the oil go away but it always came back later in the day this is what made my face break out the way it is now (keep in mind its not pimples or zits its like chapping and bumpy almost like its dry and it stings a but when i touch it.

    2.St Ives apricot scrub

3.Clay and mud mask (these gave me a deep clean but the il didn't go away)

4.philosophy ( this is a more expansive product but it didn't work for me is you want more info go to www.bestofphilosophy.com)

So far i try'ed all those and they don't work so is there anything else like REALLY!!! im desperate to have the skin i had in 9th grade.Whats the best product for oily skin and stops breakout and gets rid of blemishes?
OK so before I say anything...every skin type is different. BUt for me...as I seem to have alot of the same symptoms, I use a scrub( St. Ives for blackheads)...The scrub is good and doesn't irritate your skin, plus it exfoliates. I got a prescription from my dermatologist for Clindamycin phosphate...its a really weak acid that cuts down oils and clears pores. Along with that comes a cream called Tretinoin Cream(.05%) it moisturizes, keeps the skin clear, and added bonus it works as an anti wrinkle cream( you and I are both still young but its keeps the skins elasticity). Its put on once a day at bedtime.I've been using it for 3 months now and am ecstatic over its progress. I had pretty bad acne before, as well as dry skin..but its cleared up and incredibly smooth. Like I said before, all skin is different and my advice would be to go to a dermatologist.. If your prone to under your skin cystic pimples check out a brand called accutane (however its still being tested, and is dangerous if your at a risk of being pregnant). I hope everything turns out all right, just get the right formula for your skin and it'll clear up in no time.Whats the best product for oily skin and stops breakout and gets rid of blemishes?
I would strongly recommend Proactive. Nothing really worked for my acne and I hated walking around like I was a teenager all over again. My dermatologist told me to try it, and I have no regrets. You can purchase it online or in various malls.

Give it a try...I guarantee that you will have that 9th grade skin again

    Here is the website http://www.proactiv.com/
Sea Breeze, you can find it at walgreens or CVS or your local Wal-Mart, it is inexpensive and works great, I use it everyday and i dont have one pimple
    clean %26amp; clear Foam wash....
try neutragena face wash. its dermatologist recommended so you know its safe and reliable and it does wonders for people with oily skin. I also get the occasional break out and ever since i've been using this product (3 years) I've never seen anything, my face looks flawless. I also found biore skin cleansers. These are more expensive but very high quality and you can see/feel a difference after the first use!! You can buy these products anywhere- meijer, walgreens (any drug store), walmart, etc.

Good make-up for extremely oily skin?

I have extremely oily skin [forehead, nose and chin]. I use this liquid foundation by cg and it dosent hlp even with a powder. My face looks shiny after 10 minutes i put it on [faster if its a hot day]. I'm sick of wearing a lot of foundation, reapplying powder during break and looking cakey and greasy all day at school :/

is there a good foundation for extremely oily skin?

or will just wearing concealer and a little bit of powder work better?

    [DRUGSTORE brands please] :]

Thank You.Good make-up for extremely oily skin?
I would stay away from the foundation. A lot of foundations give off a greasy and oily look. Therefore, wearing a lot of foundation is not doing your oily skin condition any good. I don't know how severe the blemishes on your face are, but maybe you could just wear powder. Powder counteracts with the face oil, giving your skin a natural and smooth look. Try washing your face with hot water, since hot water drys out the skin. A little concealer is okay, but just apply it to obvious blemishes. You'll probably have to reapply powder every couple hours.Good make-up for extremely oily skin?
my skin is the same, but even worse, i also have dry skin too. i put on concealer and powder before i leave the house and it only lasts about an hour or two. I even use a mineral foundation and oil free makeup but it really doesnt help, so really there is no makeup that keeps oily skin normal, unless your skin is different. On the bright side, people who have oily skin dont really get much wrinkles as they get older.
well any mineral powder is very good for the skin and pigment too :) it is light, very light and you won't really feel heavy under the makeup :)

When you use it the formula comes out of the bottle white, but then changes color to match your skin as you put it on your face. It can match any skin tone, even the difficult ones.

After that get a powder compact and a big powder brush, and brush the powder on your face over your foundation. You won't need a lot, but it will give you the more matte look you're going for. It will also help the oil so your face doesn't look shiny.

If they don't sell Almay, then next step would be to go to a department store and have them match you for foundation. It's a little more expensive than the drug store, but you'll get much better results. Also they have special formulas for oily skin. I love Clinique and Laura Mercier. Then you can get most of your other products from the drugstore so they'll be cheaper.
    I suggest M.A.C they're products are excellent.

    Fenwick (Brent Cross)

    Selfridges %26amp; Co (Oxford Street)

In both of these stores there is a M.A.C counter located within the beauty department.

PLEASE HELP! BEST foundation for oily skin?

What's the best foundation for oily skin? I have tried numerous brands both OTC and department store brands but I am tired of my skin being oily after a couple hours. I only wash my face twice a day, use a primer, etc but nothing helps. I need something with good coverage for acne/scars and preferably long lasting (not to mention something that won't break me out). Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

P.S. Please don't suggest Bare Minerals...I know a lot of people love it but i've already tried it and it doesn't work for me. Thanks :)PLEASE HELP! BEST foundation for oily skin?

funny i know but target brand cream foundation. itll work! i promise!
I have very oily skin just like you and I just started using Clinique powder things you can go into one of their stores and they will help you pick out the stuff for you. My powder works very well and the person that worked their picked out the right color and since I have acne found something that is good for people with acne and doesn't make them break out. It works for me and I think it will work for you. I hope this helps! :)
Bare Minerals has iron in it so it makes your skin break out and more oily. But theres this make up called everyday minerals, and it has no iron so keeps you from breaking out, and being really oily. It's really cheap and they send you free samples when you order stuff. check out everydayminerals.com it's great!
well my skin is soft and always smooth and what i used was something call ';asesas';it hels you define your skin and the natural color.

and for your face ... before you wash it and cleans it use noxemma and then use Dove soap the bar and then put baby lotion to keep from getting dried up and ashy and to also put that finishing touch on it. Also for your scares use bronze
try blotting papers for the shine instead of more powder and I love Clinique foundation..
Physicians Formula mineral foundation is amazing for oily skin. It's a little like bare minerals, but it works SO much better. You can get it for 10 bucks at a drug store.
