All of a sudden i have oily skin?

I am a 13 year old boy, 14 in august. My spots seem to have gotten worse over the days, so i decided i would not eat chocolate and drink 2 litres of water a day, and eat bananas and apples. After doing this for a bout a week, my skin has became very oily, and my spots seem to be getting worse! Im also eating Whole grains, no chocolate in my diet, and not many dairy products. How can i keep getting these problems! please helpAll of a sudden i have oily skin?
it's onset of pueberty, clean your face and what ever else is oily. and keep drinking milk don't stunt your growth. avoid alcohol and drugs, smokingAll of a sudden i have oily skin?
its probably just puberty and hormones. don't keep eating the same things each day. its not good for you to have to many fruits, you need a variety of foods. also its not true that chocolate gives you acne. so you can have chocolate. my friend has went a couple years without chocolate hoping it would clear her acne but she still has a lot and wasn't worth it. so your skin is probably just naturally oily. wash your face in the morning and at night. use a moisturizer that doesnt have a lot or any oil. try using proactive, it works pretty good if you use it when your suppose to. hope this helps. good luck.
ohmygoodness! i know what you're saying...except i've been super oily since last summer! it sucks. but it's gotten better. i know you're a boy but you can use this moisturizer from clinique. it's supposed to help with oily skin. and it's not something girly because moisturizer is just lotion....

there are 2 things u can use to get rid of oily skin, pimples and prevent them. after washing ur face apply astringent with a cloth and then apply clearasil stayclear. (u can get these products at a walmart, target, etc.) hope this helps.

check out my youtube channel to ask questions like this and ill answer them in a later video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcTVsMte7鈥?/a>
thats because its summer and its hotter, and add puberty along with that and im pretty sure ur pretty oily

if you have oily skin

wash your face with alchohol every night and morning.

trust me.

i'm 14 and i had the same problem.

it worked fine for me.
You could be starting puberty..also when you over wash your face it dries out the skin causing the oils to overproduce in trying to re-moisturize your skin.
I don't think chocolate is the problem its harmones good on the drinking water tho.

Just use a facial wash and moisturise.
Probably just puberty. Wash your face once a day.

answer mine? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
Do you have a daily washing routine? You might want to start one now. I have noticed a lot of people have been saying their are more oily this year
Wash your face with soap, it's not the chocolate... I eat chocolate and I only get one weird thingy on my face every month.
puberty hahaha. its ok man everyone goes through it. Its gonna go on for a yearish.
its called PUEBERTY

if its genetic it will last a long time or use anti oil facewash
why don't you go to a nutriologist or a dermatologist?
I had this problem once, just wash your face often. It is summer after all. Best of Luck!
google it
try an anti oil soap.it helps a lot.
have a wash
The great advantage of oily skin is that it ages at a slower rate than other skin types.

Oily skin needs special cleansing with plenty of hot water and soap to prevent the pores from being clogged. Avoid harsh products that strip your skin of oil and encourage flakiness. They can cause a reaction known as reactive seborrhoea, where the oil glands work overtime to compensate for the loss of natural oils.

Avoid skincare products that leave your skin feeling taut and dehydrated. They cause the upper layers of the skin to shrink. This restricts oil flow through the pores leading to blockages and breakouts.

To cleanse oily skin, use oil-based products as they dissolve sebum effectively. Opt for oil-free moisturizers to maintain a shine-free complexion.

Keep your skin very clean. Limit washing your face to two or three times a day. Too much washing will stimulate your skin to produce more oil.

Choose your cleanser with care. Avoid heavy cleansing creams. Avoid the use of harsh soaps or cleansers. Use a pure soap with no artificial additives. Try an antibacterial cleansing lotion or a lightly medicated soap, and use it in combination with a water rich in minerals, not tap water. Do not use cleansers or lotions that contain alcohol. After cleansing, apply a natural oil-free moisturizer to keep the skin supple.

Use hot water when washing your face. Hot water dissolves skin oil better than lukewarm or cold water.

If your skin is extremely oily, three or four daily cleansings may be in order and little or no moisturizing necessary before you are 30 years old. After that point, the skin around your eyes and mouth and on your throat may benefit from a nightly moisturizing, plus a mere touch of moisturizer in the morning.

When cleansing, massage your face well with your fingertips, using an upward and outward motion. Be careful not to rub soap into the skin; it can clog pores.

If your oily skin is scaly, you can often correct the problem by using a deep-cleaning exfoliant on alternate nights, and following the treatment with a light coating of moisturizer.

Try using a clay or mud mask. If you have sensitive skin, use white or rose-colored clays.

Use a light antiseptic night cream from time to time if you wish, and apply a clarifying mask one or two times a week.

Choose cosmetic and facial care products specifically designed for oily skin.

Before applying makeup, use an antiseptic day cream with active ingredients that diminish sebaceous secretions. Look for benzyl peroxide in the list of active ingredients.

Use a light antiseptic night cream from time to time if you wish, and apply a clarifying mask one or two times a week.

Having trouble deciding which foundation for Oily Skin.?

I've been looking around alot..all over every makeup website (Covergirl, Rimmel, Almay, Maybelline, Neutrogena, Physicians Formula) and i was comparing foundations. I have oily/combo skin and currently get random pimples, and blemishes that won't dissapear. I'm looking for something that i can put on and not have to touch up (long lasting). Plus with the blemishes my face has it's red spots so covering those are a plus.. anyways I've narrowed it down to two choices:

1.Neutrogena's SkinClearing Oil-Free Foundation which fights acne while it is still a foundation.

2.Almay's Clear Complexion Liquid Makeup which also fights acne.

I just wanted to know if anybody has tried these before and what was the outcome. I saw that each brand does about the same thing..but just wondering.

Thanx a bunch.

=D

P to the S: I was also looking for good blemish correctors/concealer so does anybody have any suggestions about that?Having trouble deciding which foundation for Oily Skin.?
I use neutogenas foundation. It works on me great and I have oily skin. I have not had problems with oily skin since I've used that product after trying them all. Cover girl has good blemmish/concealer collection now on the market too I use.Having trouble deciding which foundation for Oily Skin.?
try clinique...

  • What is the best foundation for oily skin?

IM 14 and my skin is pretty oily. My acne is about 80% under control but I still need some coverage. I need a foundation that looks natural and doesn't look cakey and matches my skin. Something that also can cover up redness from my acne medication would be nice too... I want my skin to just look clean and clear. I've tried soo many foundations inlcuding Bobbi Brown (seeps into pores too much) MAC (causes breakouts), Cargo, Lorac, and Benefit and had problems with all of them. I'm beggining to lose hope so any suggestions? What is the best foundation for oily skin?
Estee Lauder Double wear. Amazing much?

Bare Minerals is only for people who have almost perfect skin. It's just to polish the face, not to actually cover.

You should only wash your face twice a day. Exceeding that will cause your skin to flake. Gross. What is the best foundation for oily skin?
these are the formulas i have tried and liked and lasted on my oily skin even through the hot florida summers...

    mark powder buff foundation $8

    avon perfect wear extralasting $10

    revlon colorstay (nonactive) $12

    merle norman lasting $26

    clarins truly matte $35
Well definately stay away from liquid foundation if you have oily skin. Have you tried Bare Minerals or any other mineral make up? I can only recomend Bare minerals because that is the only mineral make up i have actually tried, but i love it!! It defenitely works great for me and its actually good for your skin.
I'm guessing you have oily and sensitive skin. Try powder foundations and those that are oil-free and are hypo-allergenic. I'm using Clinique(powder foundation) right now and I've a combination/oily skin. It looks great on me. Try that. :)
Yah well i suggest u wash ur face 10 times a day it worked for me. I used to have the same problem. Also u should try preperation H it's worked miracles. You can get it at any local store like cvs just ask at the register.
SPend 2 bucks on the following, you will be glad you did:

    1. sample of the green concealer at LAminerals.com

    2. sample of the HOllywood mineral foundation, same place.

The concealer is also a mineral powder, so will not aggravate your acne or make it worse. The Hollywood mineral foundation covers GREAT and lasts all day.

All their ingredients are non-comedogenic. Plus they don't put talc (clogs pores), or bismuth oxychloride in theirs.

Bare minerals and sheer cover use bismuth, which can also irritate your skin.

I'll give you a great link I found that rates ingredients. Knowledge is power!

Consider Bare Minerals makeup. I have combination skin also and find that it is great. The bisque covers red / dark spots awsome. I have Alot Less break outs, but when I do I use Oxy vanishing cream at night.Having trouble deciding which foundation for Oily Skin.?
NARS oil-free is pretty great if ya got a lotta money to spend:

The ultimate best is mary kay oil control formula. (#3)

next to that is southern magnolia minerals.

try both of thier websites %26amp; smm is also in a store on e-bay.

you can use it alone or with oil free moisturizer.
This makeup is the best for oilyhttp://www.myseriesse.com/sicolor.aspx?I鈥?/a> skintype.
    I don't know about those.

    For Oily Skin :

I suggest Neutrogena Healthy Skin foundation.

I also suggest M路A路C Studio Fix Powder Plus.

    These are both great foundations!
almay's alright, but can get kind of cakey towards the end of the day... neutrogena's alright also, but can be a little harsh on the skin. I have the same type of skin that you do, and personally, I love the covergirl clean make up. It lasts a really long time and covers red really well while letting things like freckles show through... and never looking like a mask. It also actually helped dry my acne while leaving dry spots moisturized (didn't make them drier). The upside of this is that it is really cheap make up (like $4 a bottle). I would suggest getting the powder too to set the make-up and make it last longer, if that's what you decide to go for:]

The perfect combination I've found is actually maybelline liquid mineral foundation and mary kay mineral foundation powder, since no one can even tell I'm wearing make up and it gives great SPF protection + is really lightweight while having a lot of coverage. It lasts for me, so if you want perfection, try that. If you want almost perfection, try the cover girl.

How does bare escentuals work on oily skin?

so i have oily/normal skin, i also tend to break out around my forehead. but how will bare escentuals foundation work on me? i'm trying to buy new makeup to ELIMINATE shine, and possibly acne. i don't have terrible acne but i do have scars. i've been using the AVEDA wet or dry foundation powder...and it seems to be giving me weird bumps on my face. and it makes me oily after a few hours. HELP!!! any suggestions for makeup that can STOP my oily face? i wash and moisturize and blah blah. wrinkles aren't really a problem for me, but i do have huge poresHow does bare escentuals work on oily skin?
bare essentials work well, its suppose to be the best for oily skin, but prepare to pay more then usualHow does bare escentuals work on oily skin?
Bare Minerals has bismuth oxychloride, which can irritate sensitive or acne-prone skin. It also can make it look shiny after awhile. I used it and that's what happened to me. Look for something that doesn't contain that ingredient. Now I use signature minerals; only available online.
Bare Mineral's is great for oily skin. If you have huge pores though and oily skin...you should definitely use a foundation primer underneath it. Benefit makes a few really good ones, and Bare Mineral's has one also called ';prime time';. It'll keep the makeup on all day. If you decide to get Bare Minerals, the best way to go is to get the starter kit. It comes with something called mineral veil which is a setting powder and GREAT for oily skin and shine. During the day if you start to get shiny you just brush the mineral veil over it...it's a translucent powder.

The makeup will also help with your skin and any blemishes.
Bare Escentuals will be great for you. Use their prime time foundation primer first to reduce the appearance of large pores, then buff the foundation into your skin longer and with more pressure than you probably think is sufficient then finish with mineral veil. The veil has cornstarch in it so it will absorb excess oil and give you a good finish. If you are VERY oily you can use the veil before and after the foundation. I believe that people who don't like the look of bare escentuals are using way too much product and not buffing nearly enough.
I've heard that BE doesn't have the best coverage for acne, and it definitely won't get rid of them. But since it is mineral make up, chances of irritation is far less.

For shine I recommend MAC blot. I have the same thing, and MAC blot works VERY well at controlling shine.

I'd also go read some reviews before buying they're very informative and often talk about application of a specific product as well.

    Over 1900 reviews for BE:

    http://makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=25754/Bare_Minerals_ALL/Bare_Escentuals/Powder

    MAC blot: http://makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=572/Blot_Powder/MAC/Pressed_Powders

For minimizing the appearance of your pores, I'd suggest using Clinique Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector:

    http://makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=34363/Pore_Minimizer_Instant_Perfector/Clinique/Primer/_Corrector

I use it as well, it's very good at filling in the pores to disguise them/shine control.

These products may seem a bit pricy, but they're well worth it!

What makeup can i use for oily skin?

    i hate my face.

    like seriously.

i have freckles, and some pimples on my chin and forehead that dont go away.

i'm using stride x for it, so i've got that covered-for now. lol.

anyways - i use eyeliner, mascara, mineral powder from bare natural, and blush.

but every day after like 1st period, my skin is oily and the pimples and freckles are noticable again. ))):

is there any good makeup that stays on all day? or any treatments for oily skin? thanks so much! (:What makeup can i use for oily skin?
The powder foundation is definitely what would be best for your skin, but I think you might want a primer underneath your foundation, preferably something that will absorb some of the oil like ';Matte It Face and Lips'; from the Body Shop. That should help keep your makeup in place and not shiny or oily. Good luck! What makeup can i use for oily skin?
i have the same problem you do and i havent found a cure for it, but i know what can help is by reapplying your makeup, i know thats probably not what your looking for, but thats all the advice iv got. hope this helps!! : ) let me know when you have a cure for oily skin?! lol. id love to know. im really sick of it. iv had it for about 2 years now and it suxs.
there isnt any makeup that actually helps with that,

but you can get Clean And Clear Morning Burst oil blotters.

They are kind of expensive, about $6.50 for 50, but they work SO well.

I used to come home from school with an orange face because the oil would change the color.

This takes off the shine that can come with the oil to, its really great. Dries everything up right when you wipe.

    good luck :D
Start with mark.'s MATTE CHANCE moisturizer ($15). It is great to neutralize oil and give your skin an even tone.

Then use one of mark.'s foundations, they are all oil-free and cost just $8.

For mid-day touchups try their MATTE-NIFICIENT oil neutralizing powder.

Which mineral foundation is good for oily skin?

Bare minerals or Everyday Minerals?Which mineral foundation is good for oily skin?
have you tried clinique?Which mineral foundation is good for oily skin?
Bare Escentuals is very good but from personal experience when it comes to the oily skin issue its not so much the foundation that will help as it is the skin care your applying prior to the foundation. I also used Clinique and its good too but like all my other foundations i found myself having to do more touch ups than i cared to have to do. My recommendation is to get skin care that controls oil ( I use Dr. Murads and its really good)..and then find a foundation that helps control oil but also good for your skin ( Bare Escentuals, Clinique, etc.)
You have to treat your skin deeper if you dont want too much greasy on your face try Eucerin for oily skin this is the better that you can do and conbine it with the mineral foundation that you choose. If you do that you will remember me.
I love my Bare Minerals...I have combination skin, and it's not in good shape due to sun damage when I was younger, and I swear by Bare Minerals! The other day someone even commented that my make up looked like it was professionally done--and it wasn't!
use foundation with Sonya i.e. FLP Products, its 100% natural, no chemical added, its will develope our beauty more.
try clarins paris, they have everything for every skin type.
    bere
With bare minerals you look v. shiny that's da prob
Have you tried Estee Laudeer? If you haven't, try it because they work with all types of skin. Even really oily skin. Try it because it works and I have proof. My mom uses it and it covers up good. You get gifts and also the ingredients are all natural.
    calamine lotion
I use Physicians Formula. You can find at most of your local drug stores, Target has it the cheapest. They have anti shine products for oily skin. Its talc free and doesn't cause pore clogging. Its worked wonders with my skin!! Bare minerals makes you skin shiny.
Try the matte formula of Everyday Minerals!!!.. it's totally awesome, remember to use with their finishing dust. Makeup can last for good 8 hours, in a glowy way.

What's good about everyday minerals is that you can always try first, order samples online, but you'll have to pay the postage though. can try a generous size of 3 foundations, blush and concealer.

I have tried BE and Everyday Minerals. I perfer everyday minerals cos BE broke me out badly.

Go to this site to claim your free samples:

Lady Emily! It's setting powder is made with rice which absorbs the oil great! The mineral veil that BE sells is made with corn starch which is cheap and doesn't work as well. I have an oily t-zone and the Lady Emily mineral makeup works SO SO much better at controlling the oil throughout a 12-hour day! I used BE for 3 years and wish I'd found Lady Emily sooner. And its sold through independent consultants so you can get personalized service and try the products before buying. I love it so much, I decided to sell it myself!
Hmm i have combination skin and i have tried bare minerals and well I didn't like it very much. I like Neutragena Mineral Sheers Powder Foundation. It's good it doesn't have oil, talc fragrance or any other harmful stuff. Your name sounds Indian so well my friend got this foundation from India lakme face magic souffle. It gives her a great coverage and she says is good for her oily skin too. So if u r in India u might want to get that.
I use bear minerals. Im only 12 but my proactive makes my face oily and it drys my oil and it makes my skin look so pretty. and no it does not make it shiny.
